Rittich will start Thursday's road game versus the Blue Jackets.
EDGE Analysis
Rittich has won his last two starts, but he hasn't played since Dec. 9. The 29-year-old is 3-1-0 with a 3.10 GAA and an .880 save percentage in five outings overall this season. The Blue Jackets aren't a particularly challenging opponent, but Rittich is still a bit tough to trust in fantasy given his limited playing time.

Rittich set aside 18 of 21 shots in Thursday's 4-3 win over the Islanders.
EDGE Analysis
Rittich wasn't all that sharp, allowing a goal in each period. Noah Dobson's tally 5:08 into the third put New York up 3-2, but Rittich's teammates bailed the backup goalie out with a pair of unanswered goals after that point, including Eeli Tolvanen's game-winner with 12 seconds remaining. Rittich has a 3-1-0 record, but he's posted a sub-.900 save percentage in each of his last three outings en route to a 3.10 GAA and .880 save percentage overall.

Rittich will protect the road goal Thursday versus the Islanders, Adam Vingan of The Athletic reports.
EDGE Analysis
Rittich will make a second straight start with Juuse Saros (illness) not ready to return. The 29-year-old Rittich was lightly tested in a 5-2 win over the Red Wings on Tuesday, so he'll carry a little momentum into Thursday's contest. The Islanders snapped their 11-game losing streak versus the Senators last time out.

Rittich made 14 saves in Tuesday's 5-2 win over the Red Wings.
EDGE Analysis
The Preds out-shot their opposition by a 2-to-1 ratio on the night, leaving Rittich with little to do to secure his second win of the season. His 3.13 GAA and .885 save percentage in limited action aren't impressive, but he could see another start or two this week while Juuse Saros (illness) is under the weather.

Rittich will get the starting nod for Tuesday's game in Detroit.
EDGE Analysis
With Juuse Saros (illness) not available Tuesday, Rittich will make his first appearance since coughing up six goals on 35 shots in a Nov. 27 loss to Colorado. On the year, he owns an .888 save percentage in just three outings. The 29-year-old could start against the Islanders on Thursday as well if Saros is still out.

Rittich gave up six goals on 35 shots in Saturday's 6-2 loss to the Avalanche.
EDGE Analysis
Rittich had no answer for the Avalanche's deep offense in this contest, with Mikko Rantanen leading the charge on a hat trick. This was Rittich's first loss of the season in his third game. He's yielded nine goals on 80 shots, but the 29-year-old isn't expected to play much with Juuse Saros serving as a workhorse in net.

Rittich will guard the road goal Saturday versus the Avalanche.
EDGE Analysis
Rittich is set to make his third appearance and second start of the season. He's allowed three goals on 45 shots for a solid .933 save percentage so far, though facing the Avalanche's high-powered offense will be his biggest challenge yet in 2021-22.

Rittich stopped all nine shots that came his way upon relieving Juuse Saros in Saturday's 6-3 loss to the Canadiens.
EDGE Analysis
Rittich entered the game in the second period after Saros surrendered his fifth goal on 19 shots. Still, Predators coach John Hynes defended his starting goalie's performance. "It wasn't necessarily where [Saros] was bad," Hynes said in a report by NHL.com. "Montreal scored, and we had a couple of deflections, one hits a skate, a backdoor tap-in on the penalty kill, so it's not really the goalie's fault. It's more like he's got to get out of there and bring 'Ritter' in." Rittich had been in COVID-19 protocols before eking out a win over the Blues in his Preds debut Nov. 11; he's stopped 42 of 45 shots through two appearances of 2021-22.

Rittich stopped 33 of 36 shots in a 4-3 overtime win over St. Louis on Thursday.
EDGE Analysis
Rittich and the Predators had to climb out of a 2-0 hole during the second period, but Matt Duchene's second goal of the game 2:01 into overtime gave Rittich his first victory as a Predator. The veteran netminder was making his Nashville debut after splitting the 2020-21 campaign between Calgary and Toronto.

Rittich will protect the road goal in Thursday's game versus the Blues, Brooks Bratten of the Predators' official site reports.
EDGE Analysis
Playing the second half of a back-to-back, Rittich will make his Predators debut. He spend time in the COVID-19 protocols earlier in the season, and the strong play of Juuse Saros has left Rittich with few opportunities to see the ice. The 29-year-old Rittich went 5-8-2 with one shutout in 19 appearances between the Flames and the Maple Leafs last year.
