Rittich will get the starting nod for Tuesday's game in Detroit.
EDGE Analysis
With Juuse Saros (illness) not available Tuesday, Rittich will make his first appearance since coughing up six goals on 35 shots in a Nov. 27 loss to Colorado. On the year, he owns an .888 save percentage in just three outings. The 29-year-old could start against the Islanders on Thursday as well if Saros is still out.

Rittich gave up six goals on 35 shots in Saturday's 6-2 loss to the Avalanche.
EDGE Analysis
Rittich had no answer for the Avalanche's deep offense in this contest, with Mikko Rantanen leading the charge on a hat trick. This was Rittich's first loss of the season in his third game. He's yielded nine goals on 80 shots, but the 29-year-old isn't expected to play much with Juuse Saros serving as a workhorse in net.

EDGE Analysis
Rittich is set to make his third appearance and second start of the season. He's allowed three goals on 45 shots for a solid .933 save percentage so far, though facing the Avalanche's high-powered offense will be his biggest challenge yet in 2021-22.

Rittich stopped all nine shots that came his way upon relieving Juuse Saros in Saturday's 6-3 loss to the Canadiens.
EDGE Analysis
Rittich entered the game in the second period after Saros surrendered his fifth goal on 19 shots. Still, Predators coach John Hynes defended his starting goalie's performance. "It wasn't necessarily where [Saros] was bad," Hynes said in a report by NHL.com. "Montreal scored, and we had a couple of deflections, one hits a skate, a backdoor tap-in on the penalty kill, so it's not really the goalie's fault. It's more like he's got to get out of there and bring 'Ritter' in." Rittich had been in COVID-19 protocols before eking out a win over the Blues in his Preds debut Nov. 11; he's stopped 42 of 45 shots through two appearances of 2021-22.

Rittich stopped 33 of 36 shots in a 4-3 overtime win over St. Louis on Thursday.
EDGE Analysis
Rittich and the Predators had to climb out of a 2-0 hole during the second period, but Matt Duchene's second goal of the game 2:01 into overtime gave Rittich his first victory as a Predator. The veteran netminder was making his Nashville debut after splitting the 2020-21 campaign between Calgary and Toronto.

Rittich will protect the road goal in Thursday's game versus the Blues, Brooks Bratten of the Predators' official site reports.
EDGE Analysis
Playing the second half of a back-to-back, Rittich will make his Predators debut. He spend time in the COVID-19 protocols earlier in the season, and the strong play of Juuse Saros has left Rittich with few opportunities to see the ice. The 29-year-old Rittich went 5-8-2 with one shutout in 19 appearances between the Flames and the Maple Leafs last year.

Rittich was activated from the COVID-19 protocols list Thursday, Paul Skrbina of The Tennessean reports.
EDGE Analysis
Rittich has yet to make his Predators debut after beginning the season on the COVID-19 list. The 29-year-old posted a .901 save percentage and a 2.86 GAA in 19 appearances with Calgary and Toronto last season. Rittich should make his season debut sometime in the next week as the Predators have back-to-back games scheduled Nov. 10 and 11.
