Head coach Travis Green said Monday that Perron is away from the team due to a personal matter, TSN 1200 Ottawa reports.

Fantasy managers should still be able to roster Perron at a fair price given that most of the attention in Detroit is centered around stars relatively new to the team, such as Patrick Kane and Alex DeBrincat.

The 35-year-old has just four multi-point efforts this season, but he's holding onto a No. 1 power-play role with half of his 24-point total taking place on the man advantage.
