Tarasov stopped 22 of 25 shots in a 4-2 loss to the Kraken on Sunday. The fourth goal was an empty-netter.
EDGE Analysis
Tarasov struggled in the last 10 minutes of the first period, giving up all three goals in a span of 5:18. Two came on Kraken power plays, so it's not all Tarasov's fault. The 24-year-old has won just two of his last eight outings, giving up more than two goals five times in that span. He's now 3-5-2 with a 3.79 GAA and an .881 save percentage through 10 starts this season. Tarasov and Elvis Merzlikins will likely continue to compete for playing time, though neither of them makes for a particularly strong fantasy option outside of deep formats or good matchups.

Tarasov is expected to patrol the blue paint Sunday in Seattle.
EDGE Analysis
Tarasov is coming off a big win against Calgary on Thursday, stopping 28 of 30 shots. It was his first appearance since Jan. 13 and it snapped a three-game losing skid. The 24-year-old has allowed at least four goals in six of his nine games this season, resulting in an unsightly .881 save percentage.

Tarasov stopped 28 of 30 shots in Thursday's 5-2 win over the Flames.
EDGE Analysis
The Flames rallied from behind twice in the first period, but Tarasov shut the door over the final 40 minutes. He snapped his personal three-game losing streak with the victory, his third in his last nine outings. Tarasov improved to 3-4-2 with a 3.86 GAA and an .881 save percentage through nine appearances this season. With Elvis Merzlikins struggling and Spencer Martin now in Carolina, Tarasov could have a chance to establish himself as the Blue Jackets' top goalie. Tarasov and Merzlikins will likely split the next two games, which see Columbus' road trip continue in Vancouver on Saturday and in Seattle on Sunday.

Tarasov will patrol the visiting crease in Calgary on Thursday, Brian Hedger of The Columbus Dispatch reports.
EDGE Analysis
Tarasov has sat the last three games as Elvis Merzlikins was given a chance to regain his status as the No. 1 goaltender with the Blue Jackets. Tarasov has allowed 11 goals on 58 shots in his last two games, giving the 24-year-old a 2-4-2 record to go with a 4.08 GAA and an .875 save percentage. Tarasov will face a Flames team that has lost three straight games.

Tarasov allowed six goals on 35 shots in a 7-4 loss to the Kraken on Saturday.
EDGE Analysis
He's stepping into the starting role with a bit of a thud. Elvis Merzlikins is expected to be granted a chance of scenery, but that could take time - he wants to start, not backup, so the number of potential suitors is small. Tarasov is talented, but the Jackets are struggling. Dating back to Dec. 30, he's seen 35 or more shots in four of his last five starts. Tarasov is definitely a dynasty guy, but he faces way too much rubber behind a porous team to be a safe play in redraft leagues.

Tarasov will get the starting nod at home versus the Kraken on Saturday, Aaron Portzline of The Athletic reports.
EDGE Analysis
Tarasov is 1-2-2 with a 3.49 GAA in his last five games but continues to start ahead of Elvis Merzlikins, who is now looking for a trade away from Columbus, Brian Hedger of The Columbus Dispatch reports. It seems the 24-year-old Tarasov will get an extended run as the Jackets' No. 1 netminder.

Tarasov allowed five goals on 23 shots in Tuesday's 5-0 road loss against the Jets.
EDGE Analysis
Tarasov had a rough night, only making 18 saves total with a .783 save percentage. Winnipeg was actually outshot by the Blue Jackets, getting only 23 shots on net, but they scored in each period to dominate on the scoresheet. Brenden Dillon scored his 6th goal of the year on Winnipeg's second shot on net and it proved to be the game winner. This was Tarasov's 7th start of the season and he has only been above a .900 save percentage twice during that span. It will be hard for fantasy managers to trust him in the lineup until that changes.

Tarasov will guard the cage on the road against Winnipeg on Tuesday, Brian Hedger of The Columbus Dispatch reports.
EDGE Analysis
Tarasov has logged six NHL appearances this season, posting a 2-2-2 record, 3.60 GAA and .894 save percentage along the way. Even with the Jackets trying to get him some starts, the 24-year-old Tarasov is unlikely to offer more than mid-range fantasy value as long as the club continues to keep three netminders on the 23-man roster.

Tarasov turned aside 33 shots in Saturday's 4-3 overtime loss to Minnesota.
EDGE Analysis
Cole Sillinger kept giving Columbus the lead with a goal in every period, but Tarasov could never make the leads stick, although two of the Wild's goals in regulation came on power plays. The 24-year-old netminder has started three of the last four games and six of 10 since coming off IR in mid-December, but his 2-2-2 record, 3.60 GAA and .894 save percentage put into question how long Tarasov will continue seeing that kind of workload.

Tarasov will be between the home pipes versus Minnesota on Saturday, per Columbus beat reporter Coby Maeir.
EDGE Analysis
Tarasov has faced more than 40 shots in each of his last two games and has played exceptionally well, going 1-0-1. He stopped 39 shots in a 3-2 shootout win in Philadelphia on Thursday and was almost as sharp Dec. 30, turning aside 39 shots in a 3-2 overtime loss in Buffalo. Tarasov is 2-2-1 with a 3.55 GAA and an .895 save percentage in limited action this season after beginning the year on injured reserve with a knee injury. The Wild are averaging 2.95 goals per game, 24th in the NHL.
