Sedin picked up his second goal of the season in a 4-2 win over Buffalo on Friday.
EDGE Analysis
The goal was a plus, but Sedin is just not the same player he's been in past years. He's looking like last year's 44 point season in 82 games is his new normal rather than an off-year.

Sedin opened the scoring in Thursday's 4-2 loss to the Jets with a power-play goal.
EDGE Analysis
Sedin scored six of his 15 goals last season with the extra man, so it wasn't surprising to see him capitalize in such a situation against the defensively-challenged Jets. He came in with just two shots on goal through two games, but got back on track with five shots in this one. The 37-year-old Swede has topped 200 shots in every season since 2005-06 except for the lockout-shortened 2012-13 campaign, so expect him to pick up the pace in that category.

Sedin was held without a point in three preseason games.
EDGE Analysis
While the preseason holds little value, Sedin is locked into a top-line role with his brother and appears set for a decent campaign in 2017-18. He's stated to the media that he won't play outside of Vancouver and is expected to retire as a Canuck. Newcomer Thomas Vanek was the Sedin twins' linemate at practice on Wednesday, but it's possible they play alongside a different winger on opening night. The focus is on the youngsters in Vancouver right now, but Sedin remains a solid scorer who should improve on the lackluster 15 goals he netted last season.

Sedin picked up a goal and an assist in Thursday's 4-3 loss to Arizona.
EDGE Analysis
Daniel and his brother Henrik (three assists) were the only Vancouver players with multi-point efforts in this one. They both sit at 15 goals, tied for fifth on a team with nobody over 20. Sedin had gone seven games without a point coming in, so it wouldn't be surprising to see him held off the scoreboard over the season's final two contests.

Sedin scored the power-play overtime winner and added an assist in Tuesday's 5-4 win over the Blackhawks.
EDGE Analysis
Sedin helped his twin brother open the scoring with a helper in the opening frame, then ended this contest in the extra session with Jonathan Toews in the box for interference. The 36-year-old winger's goal put him over the 40-point threshold for the 13th consecutive campaign while also ending a 10-game goal drought.

Sedin contributed two assists in a 6-3 loss to the Bruins on Monday.
EDGE Analysis
The pair of apples put an end to a six-game point drought for the veteran, who is now up to just 38 points in 69 contests this season. Sedin's minus-12 rating is easily the worst of his career, as well, while his 13 goals aren't even close to last year's 28-tally showing. At 36 years old, it's the former 40-goal scorer is definitely past his prime, but it hasn't helped that the team around him has been so bad this season, either.

Sedin lit the lamp Sunday against San Jose.
EDGE Analysis
The 37-year-old is seeing some regression with his age this season, yet he's still receiving his opportunities this year, averaging 19:01 of ice time and firing 138 shots on goal. Sedin now has one goal and three assists over the past four games, adding 15 shots on goal in that span. He hot right now, but his value is still best fit for deeper leagues in the long term.

Sedin picked up a goal at even strength on top of a power-play helper in Thursday night's 3-0 road victory against the Blue Jackets.
EDGE Analysis
Naturally, twin brother Henrik also factored into those scores. Still, Daniel's struggled to play a 200-foot game relative to his other seasons, as he's on pace for only 45 points a minus-17 rating. For reference, he hasn't finished with a negative rating since his rookie season way back in 2000-01. When it comes to the Swede, try not to get too caught up in his name; he's a depreciating asset.

Sedin recorded a power-play assist on the game-winning goal against Colorado on Wednesday.
EDGE Analysis
While the 36-year-old veteran is no longer a fantasy cornerstone, he still brings enough to the table in most seasonal leagues to move the needle. He's locked into a top offensive role and has posted a respectable 11 goals, 27 points and 127 shots, after all.

Sedin collected an assist and went plus-2 in Tuesday night's 4-1 win over the Jets.
EDGE Analysis
It's the season of giving and Sedin's in a festive mood, having unloaded four goals -- two on the man advantage -- and four more helpers in the past 10 games. The 2011 Art Ross trophy winner hasn't missed a game and is on pace for 25 goals and 30 assists this campaign, though that represents a modest drop from his last season's 61-point output.
