Crawford gave up three goals on 30 shots in Thursday's 4-1 loss to the Coyotes.
EDGE Analysis
He didn't get the result he wanted, but the most important thing is that Crawford looked healthy in his first game action since a concussion suffered on Dec. 23 of last year. This loss notwithstanding, Chicago's been scoring at a healthy clip this season, so Crawford has immediate fantasy appeal now that he's back. His workload is likely to be light compared to most starters, though, as the Blackhawks will almost certainly choose to ease Crawford back in.

Crawford will patrol the blue paint versus the Coyotes on Thursday.
EDGE Analysis
Crawford will be making his first start in nearly 10 months after suffering a concussion back on Dec. 23. It's hard to know what to expect out of the Montreal native after such a lengthy absence, but fantasy owners will no doubt be hoping he can return to the 50-plus game, 30-plus win performer he was from 2013-17. In order to create room on the 23-man roster for Crawford, the team will send Luke Johnson down to the minors, rather than netminder Anton Forsberg.

Crawford (concussion) is expected to start in goal Thursday against the Coyotes, but a final decision on his status won't be made until after morning skate, Mark Lazerus of The Athletic reports.
EDGE Analysis
As long as Crawford doesn't suffer any setbacks during morning skate, it appears as though he'll finally make his long-awaited return against Arizona. Confirmation on the veteran netminder's status should surface Thursday morning.

Crawford (concussion) may play Thursday against the Coyotes. Coach Joel Quenneville said he will know on Wednesday whether or not Crawford will be able to give it a go.
EDGE Analysis
The Blackhawks will be keeping their fingers crossed that the 33-year-old netminder will make his season debut. With Crawford out, Cam Ward and Anton Forsberg have struggled to shoulder the load in net. His return would be big for Chicago, and for fantasy owners.

Chicago placed Crawford on injured reserve Wednesday, Tracey Myers of NHL.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Coach Joel Quenneville believes Crawford could return to the lineup as soon as Oct. 18 against Arizona, but there's no reason for the veteran netminder to occupy a spot on the active roster until he's ready to rock. Cam Ward will shoulder starting duties for the Blackhawks until Crawford's given the green light.

Per coach Joel Quenneville, barring any setbacks, Crawford (concussion) could return to the lineup as soon as Oct. 18 against the Coyotes.
EDGE Analysis
Crawford has already been medically cleared, but he'll need some time to work off the rust he's undoubtedly accumulated during his lengthy absence. In the meantime, Cam Ward will slot in as the Blackhawks' starter, with Anton Forsberg getting the occasional start as the team's backup.

Crawford (concussion) has been medically cleared according to coach Joel Quenneville and will travel with the team for Thursday's clash with Ottawa, Mark Lazerus of The Athletic reports.
EDGE Analysis
While Crawford seemed a little less certain and Quenneville told reporters not to "read too much into that," it certainly is a good indication that the netminder is going to make the two-game road trip. The real indicator for the Montreal native returning to the crease will likely be the team reassigning Anton Forsberg to the minors -- until then, fantasy owners will have to continue to wait for Crawford's return.

Crawford (concussion) took the ice for practice for the first time Monday.
EDGE Analysis
Crawford rotated with fellow backstops Cam Ward and Anton Forsberg for much of the time, but the fact that he was able to get on the ice with his teammates is a good step in his recovery. Still, the Montreal native is likely to start the year on injured reserve, but could take over the starting gig sooner rather than later.

Crawford (upper body) is hoping to return to practice Saturday or "early next week" according to coach Joel Quenneville. However, Quenneville also added that Crawford playing opening night may be a stretch.
EDGE Analysis
The saga of Crawford's health continues. He's trying to return from a concussion, which is obviously a serious issue, and also one without a definitive timetable. It's hard to speculate on the future for the Canadian netminder, but having at least some sense of when he is going to return to practice is a positive sign.

Crawford (upper body) could practice with the team sometime this week, Tracey Myers of NHL.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Crawford has been making good progress for most of training camp as he looks to return from a concussion he suffered last season. The fact that he's nearly ready to return to practice looks to be a good sign towards his status for Opening Night in Ottawa on Oct. 4.
