Zary (ankle) will make his season debut for AHL Stockton on Wednesday, Ryan Pinder of Sportsnet 960 reports.
EDGE Analysis
Zary started the year on non-roster injured reserve for the Flames after suffering an ankle injury in the preseason. Once the 20-year-old center gets a few games under his belt in the minors, he should at least be on the shortlist of potential call-ups during the 2021-22 campaign.

Zary (ankle) is now week-to-week after suffering a broken ankle in Monday's rookie game versus Edmonton.
EDGE Analysis
Zary won't need surgery on his ankle, but this news essentially rules him out for most, if not all, of training camp. The first-round pick from 2020 doesn't have an official timeline yet, but similar injuries tend to require around six weeks to heal, so he'll likely end up missing some regular-season action as well.

Zary (undisclosed) left Monday's game against Edmonton and will not return.
EDGE Analysis
Zary left in pain after appearing to block a shot off his foot or ankle but it's unclear what the initial diagnosis is. The 19-year-old forward scored three goals and seven points in nine AHL games last season.

Zary secured a three-year, entry-level contract with Calgary on Thursday.
EDGE Analysis
Zary racked up an impressive 38 goals and 48 helpers in 57 games for WHL Kamloops last year which saw the Flames snagging him with the 24th overall pick in the 2020 NHL Draft. Given the uncertainty surrounding the WHL season, the 19-year-old center could get an extended look during training camp but will probably wind up back in AHL or juniors.
