He came out from behind the net and banked the puck in off Igor Shesterkin's arm to tie the game at a goal apiece early in the second period, then assisted on Josh Anderson's goal early in the third just 22 seconds after the Rangers had built up a 3-1 lead. The former Coyotes center also had a goal and an assist against Detroit on Oct. 23, but he has just three assists in 16 games with the Canadiens besides the two multi-point efforts.

Dvorak was the primary helper on Tyler Toffoli's way-to-late power-play goal that closed the gap to 5-2 before a New York empty-netter emptied the Bell Centre. Dvorak's line had a rough night, combining to go minus-14. There were a few defensive breakdowns, so all the blame should not go to the forwards.
