Clutterbuck has yet to wrinkle the twine in 12 games this season.
EDGE Analysis
Clutterbuck only had 21 goals in his previous three seasons so the fact that he went goalless in October shouldn't come as too big of a surprise. Clutterbuck does have two helpers and a rating of plus-4 this season, but more will be expected of him offensively from this point forward.

Clutterbuck is scoreless in six games this season and has seen his ice time decrease as a result, Arthur Staple of Newsday reports.
EDGE Analysis
Coach Barry Trotz hasn't been shy about stating how disappointed he has been with the line of Matt Martin, Casey Cizikas (lower leg), and Clutterbuck. Martin has been a healthy scratch for the past two games, Cizikas is on IR, and Clutterbuck was on a line with Brock Nelson for part of the win versus the Blues. The Islanders have won their last two games so it's not known what Trotz will do as far as the fourth-line when all members are ready to play. That line is expected to be the energy line for the team and use their physicality to help ignite the offense. If that trio isn't capable of doing that anymore, then their value to the team decreases dramatically and they won't play or play together as frequently as they once did.

Clutterbuck had to leave the game Monday due to a possible concussion, Andrew Gross of Newsday reports.
EDGE Analysis
Clutterbuck did return to the game as he passed the concussion protocol test and more importantly, didn't report any problems Tuesday. Clutterbuck had been questionable to start the season with the Islanders due to offseason back surgery, but has recovered quicker than expected and should open up the schedule with Casey Cizikas and Matt Martin on the crash line for the Isles.

Clutterbuck is not expected to play in the Islanders first exhibition game Monday, Andrew Gross of Newsday reports.
EDGE Analysis
Clutterbuck hasn't suffered any setbacks in regards to offseason back surgery The Islanders just want to ease him back into competition and don't see any reason to play him so early in the preseason. Clutterbuck should play at some point before the regular season begins and is expected to open the season on his regular line with Matt Martin and Casey Cizikas.

Clutterbuck has "no issues" with his back ahead of training camp, Andrew Gross of Newsday reports.
EDGE Analysis
Clutterbuck underwent back surgery in May, but he's been skating since mid-August and participated in an on-ice training session with teammates Friday, so he should be ready to roll when New York's training camp gets underway next week. The 31-year-old winger, who notched eight goals and 23 points in 73 games last campaign, will slot into his usual bottom-six role for the Islanders this season.

Clutterbuck (back) has resumed skating and will be monitored heading into training camp, Brian Compton of NHL.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Clutterbuck underwent offseason surgery in order to get himself fully fit heading into the 2019-20 campaign. The winger won't be guaranteed a spot in the lineup for Opening Night against Washington on Oct. 4, especially with the emergence of Ross Johnston and Tanner Fritz, though he should still have an inside track.

Clutterbuck underwent back surgery and could be ready in time for training camp. General manager Lou Lamoriello told reporters, "It's my understanding he will be, but honestly it's a process I don't know much about," Arthur Staple of The Athletic reports.
EDGE Analysis
Clutterbuck seemed to be headed toward surgery when he spoke during the team's locker room cleanout, but he didn't know for certain at the time. With the procedure behind him, the winger can now focus on being 100 percent this fall. If fully fit, the Ontario native should be capable of putting up 20-to-25 points next season in a bottom-six role.

Clutterbuck is suffering from a significant back injury that may require surgery and could sideline him for as long as six months, Brett Cyrgalis of the New York Post reports.
EDGE Analysis
While no decisions have been made, the fact that Clutterbuck's recovery timeline falls between weeks to months is certainly not a good sign. If the winger does require surgery, it certainly seems like he won't be available for Opening Night in October and would likely begin the year on IR.

Clutterbuck wasn't able to suit up for Friday's Game 4 loss to the Hurricanes due to an undisclosed injury, Brian Compton of NHL.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Clutterbuck gutted it out and played through his undisclosed injury during Wednesday's Game 3, but he was simply too hobbled to give it a go for what ended up being the last game of the Islanders' season Friday. At this point there's no reason to believe the veteran winger, who totaled 23 points in 73 appearances this campaign, won't be back to 100 percent in time for next season's training camp.

Clutterbuck (undisclosed) is in the lineup for Wednesday's Game 3 in Carolina.
EDGE Analysis
Clutterbuck suffered an undisclosed injury late in Game 2, but was deemed healthy enough to suit up Wednesday. The bruiser has made his presence felt in the playoffs, racking up 29 hits and three blocks in 6 games. He will resume his usual spot on the fourth line with Casey Cizikas and Matt Martin.
