Newly-acquired Brett MacLean is expected to be in the lineup Sunday for the Winnipeg Jets season-opening game against Montreal. MacLean skated in practice on a line with Alex Burmistrov and Nik Antropov and is excited about getting a chance to play with them. "It's great. Burmy and Antro are great players and they really helped me out a lot. It's been tough coming in to a little bit different system after just getting off a flight last night. I knew I was going to make mistakes, but I just wanted to go out there and play my game. They just told me I was going to get every opportunity to try and show I can play here. I'm just going to take that and whatever they give me I'll be happy for it." Keep an eye on MacLean in deeper leagues.

Brett MacLean has agreed to a one-year, two-way contract with the Phoenix Coyotes. He was a good prospect in the Phoenix organization last season with 23 goals and 50 points in 51 games and two goals and an assist in 13 games with the Coyotes. He's worth keeping an eye on during training camp, but we wouldn't be surprised if he starts the season in the minors.
