The Montreal Canadiens have claimed Brad Staubitz off of re-entry waivers. Montreal will only be responsible for half of Staubitz's salary and cap hit. Staubitz will average roughly two penalty minutes per game, but he will do next to nothing offensively.

The Wild are hoping that Brad Staubitz will clear re-entry waivers so they can bring him back to play in Minnesota. Roster roulette this time of the year is very common. The Wild needed to make a few spots and had to move some bodies around to accommodate the players received in the Marek Zidlicky trade so Staubitz was placed on waivers. Now that that's done with, there is room to bring back Staubitz should he clear waivers a second time.

Brad Staubitz has been placed on re-entry waivers by the Minnesota Wild. Staubitz has no points, a minus-seven rating, and 73 penalty minutes in 43 games. He already cleared regular waivers on Feb. 11, but if anyone claims him now, they would only be responsible for half his salary and cap hit.

Brad Staubitz has been sent down to AHL Houston. Staubitz successfully cleared waivers on Saturday. He is scheduled to become an unrestricted free agent this summer, so we wouldn't be surprised if he's played his last game in a Wild uniform.

Brad Staubitz has successfully cleared waivers. The Wild haven't sent him to the minors yet, but they might in the near future. Wild GM Chuck Fletcher would like to trade Staubitz, but that will be tough to do, given that all 29 other NHL teams have already decided against claiming him on waivers.

Brad Staubitz has been waived by the Minnesota Wild. Staubitz has no points and 73 penalty minutes in 43 games this season. Anything is possible, but we doubt he'll get claimed on waivers.

The Minnesota Wild and Edmonton Oilers meet again on Wednesday and there should be some fisticuffs between Brad Staubitz and Darcy Hordichuk if both are in the lineup. Hordichuk goaded Staubitz into a pair of double minors in the first period and the Oilers had one power play goal as a result, giving them a 2-0 lead. Staubitz wanted to fight Hordichuk but the Oiler forward was tired as he was at the end of a shift. Look for both to go at it Wednesday at or near the beginning of a shift.

Brad Staubitz was a healthy scratch for the Minnesota Wild on Thursday. Staubitz was the odd man out when Guillaume Latendresse returned to the lineup. Staubitz took two minor penalties against the Canucks Tuesday and coach Mike Yeo wanted him to take a breather. He has value in pools that use penalty minutes as a category.

Brad Staubitz will be Minnesota's lineup on Thursday night against Edmonton, as he is eligible to return from his suspension. He received a three-game ban for the regular season during exhibition play for a hit from behind on Columbus forward Cody Bass. If you need his penalty minutes then get him back in your lineup. He will replace Matt Kassian.

Brad Staubitz has been suspended for three preseason games and three regular season contests. Staubitz will be eligible to make his 2011-12 debut on October 13th. He's being punished for hitting the Blue Jackets' Cody Bass from behind on Friday. Staubitz already served a five-minute checking from behind major penalty and a game misconduct.
