Bishop is on the ice for pregame warmups Saturday afternoon, indicating that he'll be the road starter against the Penguins, Erik Erlendsson of The Tampa Tribune.
EDGE Analysis
Bishop's been rattled in the cage quite a bit of late as evidenced by an .885 save percentage over his last five games. He could be in store for an intense battle Saturday as the Lightning and Penguins both have 66 points in the league standings, while chasing Wild Card spots in the postseason. Pittsburgh averages 2.6 goals per game - 16th in the NHL - but star center Evgeni Malkin, who is averaging a point per game this season, will miss the game with a knee injury. Bishop is third in the league with a 2.14 GAA on the season and has the talent to counter his recent woes in a hurry.

Bishop made 27 saves Tuesday night in a 4-2 home loss to the Sharks.
EDGE Analysis
Bishop denied crafty wrist shots from forwards Melker Karlsson and Logan Couture in the first frame, among other key saves, but didn't have an answer for a Joel Ward blast or a Joe Pavelski one-timer in the second stanza. On his third goal allowed, the defense was burned on an odd-man rush, resulting in a Matt Nieto celebration. Karlsson would ultimately score late in the third period. This was a see-saw battle all game as the Bolts put up 30 shots compared to 31 for the Sharks. At 6-foot-7, Bishop is able to cover the net well and he's nimble enough to keep opponents at bay most nights. Unfortunately, he fell victim to a creative Shark attack Tuesday and drops to 22-17-0 on the season.

Smith will work in net as Tuesday's home starter against the Sharks, Joe Smith of the Tampa Bay Times reports.
EDGE Analysis
Smith will be stacked up against a San Jose power play that ranks third in the league at 23 percent, and February has been his worst month of the season with a 2.64 GAA through five appearances. Still, he was decent in his last outing against Team Teal, saving 24 of 26 shots en route to a Dec. 5 victory.

Bishop made 19 saves in Sunday's 2-1 loss to the Blues.
EDGE Analysis
The game was 1-0 until the 17:41 mark of the third. Bishop looked sharp Sunday, but he needs his teammates to step up and put the biscuit in the basket. He cannot do it alone.

Bishop led the Lightning onto the ice for Sunday's game against the Blues, making him the starter, Erik Erlendsson of The Tampa Tribune reports.
EDGE Analysis
Bishop has disappointed between the pipes recently, but will look to turn things around Sunday against a Blues club that's struggling offensively (23rd in scoring this month). While that works in his favor, he'll also face one of the league's hottest goalies in Brian Elliott, so even a good outing won't guarantee him a victory.

Bishop made 27 saves on 30 shots in an overtime win versus the Predators on Friday.
EDGE Analysis
Bishop has let in at least three goals in four of his last five starts, but his GAA is still 2.09, which is very good. Seems like it's just a rough patch, and he's still managed three wins in that time.

Bishop will man the crease Friday against the Predators, Joe Smith of the Tampa Bay Times reports.
EDGE Analysis
After a rough outing in Montreal, where Bishop allowed four pucks to find the back of the net, the goaltender will look to rebound against a Nashville squad that has lost three of their last four games. The 29-year-old has been uneven as of late, as he's logged a 3-2-0 record with a .900 save percentage in his previous five contests which makes it difficult to predict what type of performance to expect from him.

Bishop was beaten four times on 27 shots Tuesday in a 4-2 road loss against Montreal.
EDGE Analysis
Having come into this game with six wins in his last seven outings, Bishop made for a great start on paper against a Canadiens team that's been simply awful without Carey Price, but he got outplayed handily in this one by Ben Scrivens. One would be wise to back Bishop in any future Battle of the Bens, but he can't win 'em all. The NHL's tallest netminder should be back at it Friday in a home matchup with the Preds.

Bishop will be in goal against Montreal on Tuesday, Joe Smith of the Tampa Bay Times reports.
EDGE Analysis
With the exception of one minor blip on the radar, Bishop has been outstanding of late, as he's come away with the win in six of his last seven starts. Over that span, the 29-year-old has registered a fantastic 1.80 GAA, including blanking the Avalanche on Jan. 12. In his previous meeting with the Canadiens, the netminder was defeated, despite stopping 31 of 34 shots on net.

Bishop stopped 27 of 30 shots en route to a 6-3 win over the visiting Penguins on Friday.
EDGE Analysis
He allowed the game's opening goal to Patric Hornqvist in the first period, but wouldn't trail again after the Bolts tied it up less than seven minutes later. Bishop is as good a play as any between the pipes right now, as he's emerged victorious in six of his last seven starts and owns a tidy 2.02 GAA and .926 save percentage on the year.
