Stars GM Jim Nill said Monday that Bishop (knee) is two weeks from returning to the lineup, Bruce LeVine of Dallas Stars Radio reports.
EDGE Analysis
Bishop has been skating with the taxi squad for the last few days, and the Stars are encouraged enough with his progress to stamp a timetable on his return. It appears April 26 is the hopeful return date for Bishop. The 34-year-old was fantastic last year with a .920 save percentage and a 21-16-4 record, though Anton Khudobin -- who has been solid this year -- was the playoff hero.

Bishop (knee) is expected to get on the ice with the Stars' taxi squad Saturday, Matthew DeFranks of The Dallas Morning News reports.
EDGE Analysis
This is clearly a step in the right direction for Bishop, but he'll undoubtedly need to log a number of full practices with the main group before being cleared for game action. The veteran netminder has yet to play this season after undergoing surgery to repair a torn meniscus in his right knee Oct. 21.

Bishop (knee) has skated but remains 3-to-5 weeks away from his return to the lineup, Frank Seravalli of TSN.ca reports.
EDGE Analysis
Bishop's previous timeline had him out until early April, so this is just a smaller adjustment to that plan. The Stars have gotten quality goaltending out of Anton Khudobin and Jake Oettinger in Bishop's absence -- the team has allowed just 2.56 goals per game. There will be no need to rush Bishop back, but he should provide solid results in the crease when he's ready.

Per general manager Jim Nill, Bishop (knee) has done some light skating, but he's still at least 4-6 weeks away from making his season debut, Mike Heika of the Stars' official site reports.
EDGE Analysis
Bishop was originally expected to be ready to return in mid-March after undergoing knee surgery in late October, but that's clearly no longer on the table. The next step in the 34-year-old backstop's recovery will involve a return to practice with his teammates, so check back for another update on his status once that occurs.

Bishop underwent right knee surgery to repair a torn meniscus Oct. 21. and is expected to be sidelined until mid-March.
EDGE Analysis
Bishop appeared in just three games for the Stars last postseason due to ungoing issues related to the knee surgery he underwent in May, so it sounds like an additional procedure was required following Dallas' elimination from the Stanley Cup Finals to fully address his injured knee heading into the 2020-21 campaign. Although no firm start date for next season has been established, Bishop will almost certainly miss the beginning of the campaign at a minimum considering he's not expected to be ready to rock until mid-March at the earliest. That means more playing time for Anton Khudobin, who could emerge as the Stars' true No. 1 netminder after playing well in a workhorse role during the 2019-20 playoffs.

Bishop underwent knee surgery in May, which affected his availability for the playoffs, Matthew DeFranks of The Dallas Morning News reports.
EDGE Analysis
Bishop ended up ceding the No. 1 job to Anton Khudobin during the Stars' lengthy playoff run, appearing in just three games during the postseason due to his ongoing knee issues. He is, however, fully expected to be ready for the start of the 2020-21 campaign, and Anton Khudobin is set to hit the market as an unrestricted free agent, so Bishop's job as Dallas' starter appears to be fully secure. The 33-year-old netminder put together another impressive regular season in 2019-20, finishing the year with a 21-16-4 record to go with a 2.50 GAA and .920 save percentage.

Bishop (undisclosed) won't be in the lineup for Game 6 against Tampa Bay on Monday, Mike Heika of the Stars' official site reports.
EDGE Analysis
Even if healthy, Bishop would likely be hard-pressed to steal the No. 1 job away from Anton Khudobin, especially considering he went 1-6-0 with a 4.54 GAA in his previous seven appearances. Heading into next season, Bishop should reclaim the starting job, though he may need to split minutes with Khudobin.

Bishop (undisclosed) won't be in the lineup for Saturday's must-win Game 5 versus the Lightning, Tom Gulitti of NHL.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Even if the Stars are able to stave off elimination Saturday, it doesn't appear as though Dallas is expecting to have Bishop back this postseason. The 33-year-old backstop is one of the best in the business when healthy, but concerns surrounding his health will definitely play into his perceived value heading into next year's fantasy drafts.

Bishop (undisclosed) is still considered unfit to play ahead of Friday's Game 4 against the Lightning, Mike Heika of the Stars' official site reports.
EDGE Analysis
Bishop has been sidelined for over three weeks with his undisclosed issue and at this point it seems likely that he won't return this postseason. Anton Khudobin will continue to lead the way in goal for the Stars with Jake Oettinger serving as his backup.

Bishop (undisclosed) remains unfit and won't be available against the Lightning for Game 3 on Wednesday.
EDGE Analysis
Bishop has played in just one of the Stars' previous 18 contests due to his undisclosed injury. Even if healthy, it would take a pretty poor outing from Anton Khudobin to be unseated as the preferred option between the pipes for Dallas. At this point, fantasy players shouldn't expect Bishop to play anytime soon and should be focusing on next season when it comes to the netminder.
