Khudobin recorded a 34-save shutout in Friday's 7-0 win over the Predators.
EDGE Analysis
That was worth the wait, wasn't it? The Stars' COVID-19 outbreak delayed their season opener by eight days, but Khudobin delivered a fantastic performance once the team was able to get onto the ice. Fantasy managers that invested in Khudobin have to be pleased with the early results. He's going to be the main man in the Dallas crease for the bulk of the first two months of the year while Ben Bishop (knee) recovers from surgery. Khudobin will look to stay hot Sunday in a rematch with the Predators.

Khudobin will tend the twine at home for the Stars' season opener versus Nashville on Friday, Bruce LeVine of Dallas Stars Radio reports.
EDGE Analysis
Khudobin went 14-10-0 in 25 postseason appearances last season in which he recorded a 2.69 GAA, helping his team advance to the Stanley Cup Finals. With Ben Bishop (knee) expected to be sidelined until mid-March, Khudobin should see the bulk of the starts with Jake Oettinger or Landon Bow taking the occasional outing.

Khudobin and the Stars will begin their regular-season schedule Jan. 22 against the Predators.

Dallas had to have its first four games of the 2020-21 campaign rescheduled due to a COVID-19 outbreak. Khudobin and his teammates will now set their sights on preparing for their season opener against Nashville next Friday.

Khudobin (not injury related) took the ice for the first time since training camp started Tuesday, Matthew DeFranks of The Dallas Morning News reports.
EDGE Analysis
Khudobin has been absent from camp due to visa issues, but he should have plenty of time to shake off his offseason rust, as the Stars' first three games have been postponed in response to the team's recent COVID-19 outbreak, so their regular-season schedule won't start until Jan. 19 against Tampa Bay. The 34-year-old was fantastic for Dallas last season, compiling a 16-8-4 record while posting a 2.22 GAA and .930 save percentage in 30 regular-season appearances. He'll enter the 2020-21 campaign as the Stars' unquestioned No. 1 netminder with Ben Bishop (knee) set to be sidelined until March.

The NHL announced Friday that six Dallas players and two staff members have recently tested positive for COVID-19, which means Khudobin (not injury related) won't get a start in goal until Jan. 19 at the earliest.
EDGE Analysis
Khudobin wasn't able to participate in the first five days of training camp due to an immigration issue, and the Stars' recent breakout will only complicate matters for the 34-year-old Russian, who is set to open the season as Dallas' No. 1 netminder with Ben Bishop (knee) sidelined. This situation is still developing, so at this point there's no guarantee that Khudobin or the Stars will be cleared to take the ice Jan. 19 against Tampa Bay.

Khudobin isn't available for the start of camp due to immigration issues, Craig Custance of The Athletic reports.
EDGE Analysis
With a week and a half to sort out the issues before the start of the season, Dallas' hero from its run to the Stanley Cup Finals last season still has time to get stateside and round into form before the games start to count. With Ben Bishop (knee) expected to be sidelined through mid-March, Khudobin should be the clear-cut starter in the Stars' net once available.

Khudobin (arm) was not included on the Stars' training camp injury report, per Bruce LeVine of Dallas Stars Radio.
EDGE Analysis
Khudobin helped lead the team to the Stanley Cup Finals, as he posted a 14-10 records in 25 postseason appearances in which he registered a 2.69 GAA. With Ben Bishop (knee) still not ready to play, Khudobin could end up being the Opening Night starter against Florida on Jan. 14. Even if both netminders are healthy, they will likely split the workload during the 2020-21 campaign, perhaps as evenly as 28 games apiece.

Khudobin (arm) is on track to be ready for training camp, Tracey Myers of NHL.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
The NHL has yet to confirm when the season or training camp will begin, but the current belief is that they're targeting mid-December for the start of camp. If that's the case, Khudobin should be ready to begin practicing after undergoing October surgery to fix a nerve issue in his right arm. Meanwhile, Ben Bishop (knee) is expected to be out until mid-March, so Khudobin should be the unequivocal No. 1 when the season commences.

Khudobin (arm) penned a three-year, $10.5 million contract extension with Dallas on Friday, Sean Shapiro of The Athletic reports.
EDGE Analysis
Khudobin was instrumental in propelling the Stars into the 2020 Stanley Cup Final, filling in for the injured Ben Bishop to the tune of a 2.69 GAA, .917 save percentage and a 14-10 record. As such, he's now received the largest contract of his professional career ($3.5 million annually) and will enjoy some additional job stability in what looks like a potential platoon role with Ben Bishop next season.

Khudobin will be allowed to hit the open market Friday after undergoing arm surgery Thursday, Matthew DeFranks of The Dallas Morning News reports.
EDGE Analysis
Khudobin went 14-10 on the way to the Stanley Cup Final, registering a 2.69 GAA and .917 save percentage. The netminder likely earned himself a decent payraise heading into free agency, though the Stars remain interested in bringing him back into the fold for the 2020-21 campaign.
