Greene (upper body) was placed on injured reserve Tuesday.
EDGE Analysis
Greene is accustomed to playing through bumps and bruises -- his ironman streak of 350 games played came to an end last Friday -- so the veteran blueliner's latest malady must be relatively significant to have sent him to IR. Still, fantasy owners may not flinch at the move, as Greene has only produced nine points (three goals, six assists) in 39 games this season.

Greene (upper body) will not play Monday against Florida, Andrew Goss of the Bergen Record reports.
EDGE Analysis
The 34-year-old Greene missed games Friday and Saturday after being struck above the left wrist by a shot off the stick of Carolina's Jordan Staal on Tuesday. The Devils want to evaluate the blue-liner, but there's still too much swelling.

Greene (upper body) will not be in the lineup versus Edmonton on Saturday, Devils play-by-play announcer Matt Loughlin reports.
EDGE Analysis
When healthy, Greene has managed a meager two helpers in his last 15 outings, along with a minus-8 rating over that stretch. On the year, the blueliner is logging significant minutes -- 21:43 of ice time per night -- but has been unable to translate that into fantasy production.

Greene (upper body) has been ruled out against the Maple Leafs on Friday, Terry Koshan of the Toronto Sun reports.
EDGE Analysis
Greene last missed a game during the 2011-12 season on his way to 350 consecutive appearances. No doubt an impressive feat, but still more than 600 games away from the all-time record held by former Hartford Whaler Doug Jarvis. In his 39 outings this year, Greene has managed just nine points while also posting a minus-11 rating, which means his absence is unlikely to impact most fantasy owners.

Greene (undisclosed) was not on the ice for practice Thursday, Andrew Gross of The Record reports.
EDGE Analysis
While playing in Tuesday's game against the Hurricanes, Greene was unfortunately hit near the eye after he deflected a shot, but the Star Ledger reports that the stalwart isn't actually dealing with an eye injury. He's currently third on the franchise list for consecutive games played (350), so look for Greene to do everything he can to keep the streak alive and play in Friday's game against the Leafs.

Greene left Tuesday's contest against the Hurricanes with an eye injury.
EDGE Analysis
Greene recorded 9:51 of ice time before being struck by a puck that was deflected and went under the eye visor. Details concerning his status will likely be released prior to the Devils' upcoming matchup with the Leafs on Friday, but consider him day-to-day for now.

Greene scored the game-winning goal on a penalty shot in overtime Friday against the Sabres.
EDGE Analysis
The tally was Greene's second of the season. The 34-year-old defenseman is beginning 62.7 percent of his shifts in the defensive zone and has registered just three points, 16 shots and 27 blocked shots through 13 games this year. He doesn't move the fantasy needle in the majority of leagues.

Greene went scoreless without so much as a shot on goal over 17:59 in Tuesday's win over Anaheim.
EDGE Analysis
It was his lowest ice time of the year after he cleared 22 minutes in the first two games, but Greene picked up a couple hits and blocks while playing his typical defensively oriented style. His stats have dropped steadily since his career-best 32 points in 2013-14, with last year's meager 13 points particularly ugly. The one thing Greene does offer the Devils on a day-to-day basis other than his commitment to blocking shots is consistency and durability: He hasn't missed a game in any of the last four seasons and has finished with a positive rating in five straight campaigns.

Greene scored his first goal of the season Thursday, an empty-netter to seal a 4-1 win over the Flyers.
EDGE Analysis
The Devils captain isn't known for putting the puck in the net, but he got a free one Thursday at the end of the game. Greene had only scored 11 goals combined the past two seasons, so to get No. 1 out of the way in game 10 must feel good. Unfortunately Greene isn't getting much PP time, which would be nice with how potent the Devils man advantage has been. Still, he should see top pairing minutes on a New Jersey team that has won five of its past six games.

Greene tallied his first point of the season and played a game-high 27:24 in Tuesday's loss to Nashville.
EDGE Analysis
Greene's shot from the point was deflected by Kyle Palmieri and past Pekka Rinne to cut the Devils' deficit in half late in the third period. He was named captain prior to the season opener last Friday and will be tasked with leading a young defense all season. Greene isn't known for his offense, but is the most reliable fantasy option on New Jersey's blue line.
