Shaw missed game 2 on Sunday after suffering a lower-body injury in game 1. His injury is not believed to be serious and he could play on Tuesday, but we won't know until after the Blackhawks' morning skate tomorrow.

Shaw left Friday's game 1 vs. the Wild and did not return after being hit hard by Minnesota defenseman Clayton Stoner. Game 2 goes tomorrow afternoon, so expect an update on Shaw in the next 24 hours.

With Toews out for the rest of the regular season, Shaw will get a boost in minutes and fantasy value for the next six games. Shaw has tallied 36 points (19G / 17A) in 74 games this season.

Shaw missed the last two games with an undisclosed injury, but barring any unforeseen setback will be back in the lineup tonight vs. Florida. He has eight goals, nine assists and a plus-10 rating.

Shaw was crunched into the boards in the late stages of Tuesday's loss to the Stars. Shaw was slow to get up and will not play Thursday. There is no word on how serious the injury is, but explains why the Blackhawks recalled two forwards this morning, while only sending one down.

Shaw, who would have been a restricted free agent following this season, is now signed through 2015-16. He's currently making $577,500, but is due for a significant raise after playing a major role in the Hawks' run to the Stanley Cup in the spring. Financial terms of the deal were not immediately known. Twice passed over in the NHL draft, Shaw finally was taken by the Hawks in the fifth round of the 2011 draft. He has 25 goals and 24 assists and a plus-11 rating in 103 career regular-season games.

Bishop allowed two goals on 27 shots in an OT win over the Red Wings on Saturday. It was his fourth consecutive win and his league leading 11th of the season. Tonight he faces a Canadiens team who have lost four of their last five. It could become tougher for Bishop to win games with Steven Stamkos out of the lineup.

Shaw has not participated in an exhibition game because he was dealing with a lower-body injury. He is expected to be OK for the Blackhawks' season opener on October 2nd.
