Ladd practiced on the third-line Sunday for the Islanders, Andrew Gross of Newsday reports.
EDGE Analysis
Ladd was recalled early Saturday but didn't play in the 6-5 shootout loss to the Ducks. He was on a line with Derick Brassard and Tom Kuhnhackl. Ladd hasn't played an NHL game since March 24. He has recovered from his knee injury but it remains to be seen if he still has the speed and mobility to play at the NHL level.

Ladd will not play Saturday versus the Ducks, Andrew Gross of Newsday reports.
EDGE Analysis
Ladd was recalled from Bridgeport of the AHL earlier Saturday. The Islanders have been offensively challenged of late but won't immediately insert Ladd into game action. This Islanders next play Monday versus the Blue Jackets and it would seem that Ladd could be a replacement for Ross Johnston on the third line with Derick Brassard and Tom Kuhnhackl.

The Islanders recalled Ladd from AHL Bridgeport on Saturday, Arthur Staple of The Athletic reports.
EDGE Analysis
After tearing his ACL in March, Ladd started the 2019-20 season on long-term IR and was eventually waived and sent to the minors. The 34-year-old has been decent with Bridgeport, accruing seven goals and two helpers over 19 games, and with injuries stacking up with the big club's forward corps, Ladd will get another shot at the top level.

Ladd could still find playing time with the Islanders this season, Arthur Staple of The Athletic reports.
EDGE Analysis
Ladd has spent over a month with Bridgeport of the AHL. He struggled at first but according to general manager Lou Lamoirello, he is playing better now and still has a future this season with the Islanders. Ladd has seven goals and nine points in 19 games for Bridgeport, with two of those scores coming Wednesday. The Islanders have been struggling to score for most of the season and it should surprise nobody if Ladd eventually gets a chance to earn his contract once again.

Ladd has cleared waivers, been activated off of long-term injured reserve and loaned to Bridgeport of the AHL.
EDGE Analysis
This news doesn't come as a surprise, as there was no way another NHL team was going to claim Ladd and take on his massive contract. The Islanders plan on having the veteran forward work his way back into game shape at Bridgeport, but this may also be the team's way of simply burying his salary.

Ladd was placed on waivers by the Islanders on Thursday.
EDGE Analysis
Ladd only recently returned from an extended knee injury and has yet to suit up in an NHL game this year. The winger figures to report to AHL Bridgeport if he clears, where he previously played five games this season on a conditioning assignment. With 946 games of NHL experience, it's far from a guarantee Ladd will pass through waivers unclaimed, though his recent injury woes could be a concern for the other 30 clubs.

Ladd (knee) will be available for Wednesday's matchup with the Maple Leafs, Newsday's Laura Albanese reports.
EDGE Analysis
At this point it isn't clear if Ladd will actually draw into the lineup against Toronto, but he'll be available if needed. The veteran forward only managed one goal in five games during his recent AHL conditioning stint, so fantasy owners should temper their expecations in regards to his offensive production now that he's back with the big club.

Ladd (knee) will play two more games for AHL Bridgeport in order to extend his conditioning assignment.
EDGE Analysis
The Sound Tigers are in action Saturday and Sunday versus AHL Providence and Belleville, respectively, so the earliest Ladd would return to action for the Islanders would be Wednesday's matchup with the Maple Leafs. Where the winger fits into the lineup remains to be seen, but it will likely be in a bottom-six assignment, though he could challenge Derick Brassard for a spot on the second line.

Ladd (knee) will play for AHL Bridgeport on Wednesday before returning to the Islanders, Andrew Gross of Newsday reports.
EDGE Analysis
The Islanders are currently riding a nine-game winning streak, so even though Ladd will presumably be healthy enough to make his season debut Thursday against Pittsburgh, at this point there's no guaranteeing that coach Barry Trotz will be willing to tinker with his winning lineup.

Ladd (knee) has been moved onto long-term injured reserve and reassigned to AHL Bridgeport on a conditioning assignment.
EDGE Analysis
Ladd coming off non-roster injured reserve is actually a step in the right direction. The Sound Tigers are in action both Saturday and Sunday versus AHL Lehigh Valley , which figures to be the first competitive games for Ladd since he was injured back in March. Barring any setbacks, the 33-year-old could return to the lineup sooner rather than later for the Islanders.
