Andreas Lilja has been sent down to the minors. Lilja made his season debut on Jan. 29 and hasn't played since. He might get called up again this season, but he won't have any fantasy value in standard leagues.

Andreas Lilja made his season debut with the Flyers on Tuesday night. He replaced Kurtis Foster in the lineup and was presented with 9:38 of ice time. Lilja began the season in the minors after failing to lock down a job with the club following their abbreviated training camp.

Andreas Lilja has been called up by the Philadelphia Flyers. The Flyers will be without defenseman Andrej Meszaros for about a month due to a left shoulder injury. Lilja has two points and six penalty minutes in four games this season.

Andreas Lilja and Brian Boucher cleared waivers on Thursday and they have both been assigned to AHL Adirondack. That could mean that Andrej Meszaros will be good to start the 2013 campaign after tearing his Achilles tendon last summer.

Andreas Lilja has been placed on waivers by Philadelphia. If Andrej Meszaros is healthy for the start of the season then Lilja will probably assigned to the minors if he clears. However, if he goes unclaimed and Meszaros can't play in the team's Saturday afternoon opener versus Pittsbursgh then Lilja will probably stay with the team.

Andreas Lilja (hip) has received the green light to return to action. He has been cleared to resume playing after undergoing hip surgery in July. Lilja had been skating with AHL Adirondack on a conditioning stint, but now he'll join the fold as a locked-out player.

Andreas Lilja joined the Adirondack Phantoms Monday on a conditioning assignment. He underwent left hip surgery in mid-July and is expected to remain with the Phantoms for a few days to practice but he won't play in any games. Lilja is currently receiving his $700,000 salary in regular installments because he was injured prior to the lockout, but once he's medically cleared he will join his locked-out brethren.

Andreas Lilja (hip) was able to get around without the aide of crutches on Thursday. Lilja underwent surgery in late July and is expected to miss roughly the first month of the regular season. Of course, the start of the 2012-13 campaign might be delayed due to a lockout. If that happens, as an injured player, Lilja will still be paid and allowed to use the Flyers' training facility.

According to a report in the Swedish newspaper Helsingsborgs Dagblad, Andreas Lilja underwent hip surgery last week and could be out for four months. The surgery was performed to repair a degenerative condition that has been plaguing him for more than a year. Flyers general manager Paul Holmgren confirmed the procedure and says that the 37-year-old will "be ready in late October or early November," though Meszaros speculated he could be out until December. Even though Meszaros only played 46 games last year and this season may not start on time, it's still a blow to a depleted defense group, which has already lost Matt Carle to the Lighting and Andrej Mescaros to a torn Achilles'.
