Through two games, Burakovsky has brought exactly what the Kraken were expecting when they signed him in the offseason -- offense and power-play production. Burakovsky scored a power-play goal on five shots and went minus-2 in Wednesday's 5-4 overtime loss to the Ducks.
EDGE Analysis
Burakovsky struck quickly in the second period to put the Kraken ahead 2-1. The 27-year-old winger received a four-year, $22 million contract in the offseason to bolster the Kraken's wing depth, and he looked good in his first game for the team, aside from getting beat by Troy Terry on a rush in overtime that led to the decisive goal. Burakovsky should be locked in to a top-six role throughout the year after posting career highs in goals (22) and points (61) last season.

Burakovsky (hand) signed a four-year, $22 million contract with the Kraken on Wednesday.
EDGE Analysis
Burakovsky was excellent with the Avalanche in 2021-22, setting career highs in goals (22), assists (39) and shots on goal (149) while averaging 16:16 of ice time through 80 regular-season appearances. The 27-year-old winger won't be surrounded with as much talent in Seattle, but he should still be able to score around 20 goals while surpassing the 50-point mark as long as he's able to stay healthy in 2022-23.

Burakovsky (hand) remains back in Colorado and won't be available versus the Lightning on Wednesday, Tom Gulitti of NHL.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Burakovsky will be sidelined for his second straight contest due to his hand injury. The 27-year-old winger is expected to continue skating while back home, so it's possible he could be cleared in time for Game 5, though no official announcement has been made by the team. When healthy, Burakovsky has appeared in 12 postseason contests in which he's generated three goals and five helpers. He could offer solid fantasy value if given the all-clear.

EDGE Analysis
Burakovsky is expected to join the team in Tampa Bay but won't be ready in time to suit up for Game 3 after picking up an injury in Game 2 on Saturday. When healthy, the 27-year-old winger has been rolling offensively in his previous five contests with two goals, one assist and six shots. Without Burakovsky in the lineup, Arrturi Lehkonen figures to move into a second-line role.
