Bjork was reassigned to AHL Providence on Wednesday as a salary cap savings, but he could be recalled ahead of Saturday's matchup with St. Louis, Fluto Shinzawa of The Athletic reports.
EDGE Analysis
In his first game of the year, Bjork notched four shots, one hit and one block in 13:17 of action versus Toronto on Tuesday. The Bruins are hard up against the cap and could use a few days of savings by dropping the winger down to the minors. The health of Joakim Nordstrom could impact whether Bjork plays Saturday, though the 23-year-old may play regardless.

Bjork was called up from AHL Providence on Tuesday.
EDGE Analysis
Bjork slotted into a fourth-line role at practice, per Matt Porter of The Boston Globe, and figures to be in the lineup versus the Maple Leafs on Tuesday. The Wisconsin native has been lighting the AHL on fire with three goals and five helpers through seven contests. With David Krejci (upper body) heading onto IR, Bjork stands a decent chance of securing an extended look in Boston.

Through his first four games with AHL Providence this season, Bjork has recorded two goals and five points.
EDGE Analysis
Bjork had a strong preseason, but with solid depth up front, the Bruins elected to send the 23-year-old to the minors, where he could log ample ice time. Bjork's strong start, however, could lead to a call-up before long.

Bjork has been assigned to AHL Providence.
EDGE Analysis
The speedy forward had a strong preseason, but with the Bruins boasting good depth up front, he'll head to the minors for now, where he'll see ample ice time out of the gate this season. Once injuries or slumps hit the big club, however, we expect Bjork to earn a recall. Additionally, it's plausible that as the season rolls along, the skilled winger could end up working in a top-six role for Boston at some point.

Bjork is expected to begin the season with AHL Providence, Joe Haggerty of NBC Sports Boston reports.
EDGE Analysis
Bjork, whose last two seasons were derailed by shoulder surgeries, actually had a strong training camp/preseason, but this anticipated move would be made in the name of getting the speedy young forward some high-leverage ice time out of the gate this season. If Bjork continues to play the way he has of late and gets his scoring mojo back at the AHL level, an in-season call-up would seem inevitable.

Bjork, who has had his last two seasons cut short due to shoulder issues, is "looking healthy and strong during camp," Joe McDonald of The Athletic reports.
EDGE Analysis
Bjork is making a serious run at opening the season with the big club and in that scenario it's likely he'd man left wing on the Bruins' third line, centered by Charlie Coyle. It's even possible that the 23-year-old ascends to second-line duty at some point, but staying healthy, while not shying away from the physicality of the pro game is probably the speedy/skilled Bjork's biggest challenge with regard to making an impact in Boston this season.

Bjork, who turned in a strong effort at the 2019 Prospects Challenge, is healthy heading into training camp, Fluto Shinzawa of The Athletic reports. "He's ready to go," Sweeney said of the young forward, who is bouncing back from shoulder surgery. "His weight's fully returned. His strength's fully returned."
EDGE Analysis
Shoulder injuries have derailed each of Bjork's first two pro campaigns, but he has the speed and skill to push for a top six role with the Bruins, if he can stay healthy. With an ability to play either wing, the 22-year-old could emerge as a fantasy sleeper if he's able to maintain the positive momentum he's built. Over the course of 50 NHL games, Bjork has recorded a modest total of five goals and 15 points, but he has plenty of untapped potential and this could be the year the Notre Dame product parlays that into a regular job with the big club.

Bjork drew praise from GM Don Sweeney on Monday, who told Bruins beat writer Mark Divver "Anders had two strong games" and "was pretty noticeable."
EDGE Analysis
Bjork has been hampered by shoulder injuries in each of the past two campaigns, but he appears to be fully healthy heading into 2019-20, and will be in the running for a spot on the Bruins' Opening Night roster during training camp. If he's able to crack the roster, Bjork could see top-six minutes with the big club, which would make him a player worth monitoring during the first few weeks of the campaign as a potential waiver pickup.

Bjork (shoulder) will take part in the Bruins' prospect tournament, Matt Porter of The Boston Globe reports.
EDGE Analysis
Bjork has struggled with shoulder injuries that past two seasons, which has prevented him from becoming a full-time NHL player. The 23-year-old managed 20 games for Boston last season in which he tallied one goal, two assists and 18 shots while averaging 11:48 of ice time. If he can prove his injury woes are behind thim, the Wisconsin native has a chance at a spot on the 23-man roster for Opening Night against the Stars on Oct. 3.

Bjork has progressed well since undergoing shoulder surgery in January, Eric Russo of the Bruins' official site reports. "Anders is doing really well from a recovery standpoint, had his shoulder, the same shoulder, done again, but has taken the necessary time,"GM Don Sweeney noted Monday of the young forward, who has been slowed by shoulder injuries over the past two seasons.
EDGE Analysis
Sweeney added that the 22-year-old will be "full bore" when training camp rolls around, meaning that health won't be an impediment with regard to Bjork's quest to open up the 2019-20 season with the big club. The 2014 fifth-rounder saw action in 20 games with the Bruins last season, logging a goal and three points. He fared better at the AHL level, with 10 points in 13 contests for Providence, and if he's truly past his shoulder woes, Bjork -- who brings skating speed and quick hands to the table -- can make a run at a top-six role with Boston.
