The Russian playmaker notched 54 points (18 goals, 36 assists) in 76 games last season, and he managed to keep a level head after hearing that other teams shied away from him based on character issues stemming from the 2011-12 season. He was playing for the Predators at the time, and reportedly burned bridges with Predators executives, in addition to getting suspended during the second round of the playoffs for breaking curfew.

Radulov was made available by the Canadiens for Wednesday's expansion draft, TSN reports.

The 30-year-old signed just a one-year deal with the franchise, however, so he is set to be an unrestricted free agent this offseason. If selected by the Golden Knights, Radulov and the team would have to agree to a new contract by July 1, but if not, he would be on the open market and free to sign a deal with the team of his choice.
