Lyon was the first goalie to leave the ice Monday, Jameson Olive of the Panthers' official site reports, indicating he'll be between the road pipes for Game 1 against the Bruins.
EDGE Analysis
Lyon will be making his ninth consecutive appearance in the crease for the Panthers, having supplanted Sergei Bobrovsky as the Panthers' starter in goal. In those prior eight outings, the 30-year-old Lyon went 6-1-1 with a 1.87 GAA, .943 save percentage and one shutout. While Lyon gets the first look in the playoffs, his hold on the starting gig should probably be considered tenuous at best with Bobrovsky waiting in the wings.

Lyon stopped 30 of 34 shots in Thursday's 6-4 loss to the Hurricanes.
EDGE Analysis
The game had a wild finish -- with Lyon pulled for an extra attacker with over three minutes left in the third period, Carolina scored one empty-net goal only for Florida to answer back with two tallies of their own, before Sebastian Aho put the contest out of reach with a second empty-netter. The loss left the Panthers with the eighth seed in the Eastern Conference, and a first-round matchup with the juggernaut Bruins. Lyon still performed admirably in place of Sergei Bobrovsky while making eight straight starts to close out the schedule, going 6-1-1 with a 1.87 GAA and .943 save percentage. Look for Bobrovsky to be between the pipes when the playoffs begin, however.

EDGE Analysis
Lyon has been red-hot of late, going 6-0-1 while stopping 226 of 237 shots. He has taken over as the Panthers' No. 1 goaltender from Sergei Bobrovsky as this will be his eighth straight start in goal. Lyon is 9-3-2 with a 2.80 GAA and .914 save percentage this season. He will take on the Hurricanes, who need a win to clinch the top spot in the Metropolitan Division standings.

Lyon stopped 23 shots in Monday's 2-1 overtime loss to Toronto.
EDGE Analysis
The Panthers out-shot the Maple Leafs 46-25 on the night, but Ilya Samsonov was the difference in the game, although Lyon had little chance on either puck that beat him -- one deflected home by Auston Matthews, the other coming in OT on a John Tavares breakaway. Sergei Bobrovsky (illness) has been suiting up as Lyon's backup the last two games, but Florida's had the luxury of waiting until its No. 1 netminder is 100 percent before using him again, as Lyon has gone 6-0-1 with a 1.55 GAA and .952 save percentage while starting the last seven contests.

EDGE Analysis
The game was tied 2-2 until the 19-minute mark of the third period, when Matthew Tkachuk scored to deliver the win. The Islanders won 4-0 against the Philadelphia Flyers on Saturday, and the Penguins defeated the Detroit Red Wings 5-1.

EDGE Analysis
Lyon was sensational Thursday, setting a franchise record, as he turned aside 56 shots in a 7-2 win over Ottawa. It was his fifth straight win, giving him an 8-3-1 record with a 2.95 GAA and .914 save percentage. He will take on the Capitals, who are 20th in NHL scoring, averaging 3.08 goals per game.

Lyon made 56 saves in Thursday's 7-2 win over the Senators.
EDGE Analysis
The 56 stops sets a Panthers record for saves in a regulation game, topping the 53 saves Craig Anderson made back in 2008. Lyon has won five straight games with a stellar 1.40 GAA and .961 save percentage while Sergei Bobrovsky (illness) has been sidelined, and his work between the pipes has kept Florida in a wild-card spot in the Eastern Conference, just one point ahead of the Penguins.

Lyon will guard the home goal versus Ottawa on Thursday.
EDGE Analysis
Lyon was fantastic in his last start Tuesday against the Sabres, turning aside 39 of 40 shots en route to a tidy 2-1 victory. He'll try to extend his personal winning streak to five games in a favorable home matchup with a Senators squad that's averaging just 2.64 goals per game on the road this campaign, 26th in the NHL.

Lyon stopped 39 of 40 shots, leading the Panthers to a 2-1 victory over the Sabres on Tuesday.
EDGE Analysis
The third star of the game, Lyon was sensational, allowing just one goal to Dylan Cozens in the first period. With Sergei Bobrovsky out for the fourth straight game with an illness, Lyon picked up his fourth straight victory, allowing just five goals in that stretch. As Florida is in the middle of a tight playoff push, Lyon could hold onto the starting gig even when Sergei Bobrovsky returns.
