It was the first goal in 12 games for Iafallo, who is up to 23 points in 63 contests on the season. The 24-year-old is valuable in fantasy due to his top-line role, but he isn't seeing power-play time and the goal-scoring has been really inconsistent. If he can become more consistent, Iafallo has the talent to be worth an add in a deeper league.

The tally snapped a 13-game goalless drought and was also Iafallo's first goal since Dec. 9. Additionally with just 13 points through 44 games, the 24-year-old winger has quickly positioned himself as a fantasy afterthought in the majority of settings. After all, he was handed a prime opportunity skating in a top-line role to start the season but failed to score enough to make it a permanent role.

Iafallo blocked one shot and supplied a hit in Saturday's 4-3 overtime loss to the Islanders.

EDGE Analysis

Iafallo did receive 1:49 of power-play time in the defeat -- the first time he's appeared on the power play since Nov. 14 -- which is a good sign for the future. The 23-year-old currently sits at 10 points (two goals, eight assists) in 34 games thus far in 2017-18 after posting an impressive 51 points (21 goals, 30 assists) in 42 games for the University of Minnesota-Duluth last season. Given his scoring track record in college he could see a bump in his point production if he sticks on the power play, especially since he's been appearing on the first line with Anze Kopitar and Dustin Brown as of late.

Iafallo skated on the top line with Dustin Brown and Anze Kopitar and was credited with three shots on goal in 19:09 of ice time. The college free agent out of Minnesota-Duluth has been a great addition to the club and recently potted his first NHL goal in a win over the Predators. His six points on the season and lack of power-play time don't make him an ideal fantasy option, but as long as he sticks on the top line, the 23-year-old definitely has enough talent to at least warrant a look in some deeper formats.

Iafallo picked up two assists and was a plus-5 in Saturday's win over the Blue Jackets.

Iafallo skated on the top line with Dustin Brown and Anze Kopitar, as the trio terrorized the Blue Jackets with a combined nine points. The 23-year-old undrafted center is also skating on the power play, so he could make for a sneaky fantasy pick-up on a red-hot Kings' team. Iafallo was excellent in his four-year stint with the University of Minnesota-Duluth, so he's certianly one to watch moving forward.

Iafallo has an assist with an impressive plus-5 rating through his first three games as a rookie for the Kings.

EDGE Analysis

The 23-year-old center is living the dream, as the undrafted center signed an entry-level contract with the Kings and managed to break camp. Of course, he was absolutely brilliant with the University of Minnesota-Duluth last year, driving home 21 goals to complement 30 assists and a sterling plus-22 rating over 42 games. Expect sporadic ice time for Iafallo as he gets acclimated to the most intense level of hockey, but we've already seen that he can handle a top-six role. Keep an eye on him in case his fast start becomes a trend.
