Barkov helped establish a 2-0 lead early in the second period, but it wasn't enough. He'd been held off the scoresheet in the previous three games, which matched his longest slump of the season. Barkov is having another excellent season and has recorded five multi-point games across his last eight appearances, giving him 11 points (four goals, seven helpers) in that span.

Barkov cashed in both of his goals in the second period. The first of his two tallies was unassisted and the second was on the power play. The 29-year-old center is up to 16 goals, 56 points and 115 shots in 52 appearances this season. While Barkov has been kept off the scoresheet in three of his five appearances since the 4 Nations Face-Off break, the two games he has contributed offensively were multi-point performances. He currently ranks 35th in the league in points despite missing a chunk of time near the start of the season. While Barkov's value in fantasy is impacted by the loss of Matthew Tkachuk (groin), it is encouraging to see Barkov continue to post points in the early stages of Tkachuk's absence. Barkov remains an excellent play in all fantasy formats.

Barkov is on pace for his 10th straight 20-goal season, and his winning percentage at the dot continues to improve. He won eight-of-14 on Saturday, and is delivering at a career best 59.4 percent this season.

He has been exceptional on the power play during this stretch, posting four tallies with the man advantage. Barkov is rapidly climbing the NHL assist leaderboard and is tied for ninth in assists per game. He has top-tier value in fantasy moving forward.

Barkov is behind his pace from last season of 80 points but is in one of the best positions to continue producing on Florida's top line and power-play unit.
