Christian McCaffrey RB SF (14) Tue 12/23/25 12:17 AM
Christian McCaffrey
RB SF (14)
McCaffrey handled 21 carries for 117 yards and caught six of eight targets for 29 yards and a pair of touchdowns in Monday's 48-27 win over Indianapolis.
EDGE Analysis
McCaffrey and the Colts' Jonathan Taylor headlined a matchup featuring two of the league's top running backs on Monday Night Football. CMC got the better of Taylor (16-46-1) despite facing the stiffer of the two defenses, doubling the latter's yards from scrimmage and scoring output in a winning effort. McCaffrey pushed his rushing total over the 1,000-yard mark for the season while sitting 151 yards shy of doing the same as a receiver with two games left in the regular season. With the 49ers having a potential path to the No. 1 seed in the NFC, fantasy managers can expect the team to lean heavily on McCaffrey against the Bears in Week 17, especially if star TE George Kittle (ankle) is unable to suit up.
Josh Downs WR IND (11) Tue 12/23/25 12:17 AM
Josh Downs
WR IND (11)
Downs brought in five of nine targets for 65 yards in the Colts' 48-27 loss to the 49ers on Monday night. He also rushed once for three yards.
EDGE Analysis
Downs led the Colts in receptions and tied Tyler Warren for the team lead in targets, once again displaying some solid chemistry with Philip Rivers after catching the latter's first touchdown pass since the 2020 season in Week 15. Downs has drawn a total of 14 targets over his first two games working with the veteran signal-caller, and he's likely to be busy again in a Week 17 home matchup against the Jaguars on Sunday.
Michael Pittman WR IND (11) Tue 12/23/25 12:13 AM
Michael Pittman
WR IND (11)
Pittman brought in four of five targets for 32 yards in the Colts' 48-27 loss to the 49ers on Monday night.
EDGE Analysis
Pittman tied with Alec Pierce for second in receptions on the night for the Colts, but he continued an extended stretch of middling production. Pittman has now recorded Monday's yardage tally or fewer in five of his last six contests, a stretch where he's played with three different quarterbacks. Pittman's quest to snap out of his funk gets another tough challenge in Week 17, as the Jaguars drop in on the Colts on Sunday.
Alec Pierce WR IND (11) Tue 12/23/25 12:07 AM
Alec Pierce
WR IND (11)
Pierce brought in all four targets for 86 yards and two touchdowns in the Colts' 48-27 loss to the 49ers on Monday night.
EDGE Analysis
Pierce led the Colts in receiving yards and hauled in impressive 20- and 16-yard touchdown passes in the first half from Philip Rivers. The fourth-year pro doubled his number of scoring grabs on the season with Monday's tally, and he's exceeded 75 receiving yards in five of the last seven games. Pierce is just 129 yards away from his first career 1,000-yard season, a figure he'll look to continue approximating in a Week 17 home matchup against the Jaguars.
QGeorge Kittle TE SF (14) Mon 12/22/25 11:57 PM
QGeorge Kittle
TE SF (14)
San Francisco coach Kyle Shanahan said after Monday's 48-27 win against the Colts that it's too early to know the severity of Kittle's ankle injury, Nick Wagoner of ESPN.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Kittle missed all of the fourth quarter and some of the third due to the ankle issue, and the outcome of the contest wasn't certain until late, so it appears there's at least some chance the star tight end will miss next Sunday's game against Chicago. With that said, further evaluation is needed to determine how serious of an issue Kittle is dealing with, and he will likely do everything he can to play next week given that there is a lot at stake for San Francisco against the Bears. Despite his early exit Monday, Kittle did plenty for fantasy managers who started him, amassing 115 yards and a touchdown on seven catches. Jake Tonges was effective as the 49ers' pass-catching tight end following Kittle's departure and would be a viable fantasy asset in Week 17 if Kittle is forced to sit out.
Philip Rivers QB IND (11) Mon 12/22/25 11:56 PM
Philip Rivers
QB IND (11)
Rivers completed 23 of 35 passes for 277 yards with two touchdowns and one interception in the Colts' 48-27 loss to the 49ers on Monday night. He also committed a fumble recovered by Indianapolis.
EDGE Analysis
An extra week of practice following a five-year layoff did wonders for Rivers, who looked appreciably sharper most of the night as compared to his season debut against the Seahawks in Week 15. Rivers led a crisp nine-play, 72-yard drive to open the game that he capped off with a 20-yard touchdown pass to Alec Pierce, and he followed it up with another 16-yard scoring strike to the fleet-footed receiver in the second quarter. Rivers' momentum slowed in the second half, however, although he did lead a 12-play, 65- yard march that culminated with a Jonathan Taylor one-yard touchdown run early in the fourth quarter. The veteran signal-caller ultimately sealed the Colts' loss via a pick-six at the 49ers' 26-yard line with 3:26 remaining, but Rivers displayed impressive command of the offense while connecting with eight different targets overall. Indianapolis' quest for a wild-card berth gets another tough obstacle in Week 17, however, as the division-leading Jaguars pay a visit on Sunday afternoon.
Brock Purdy QB SF (14) Mon 12/22/25 11:54 PM
Brock Purdy
QB SF (14)
Purdy completed 25 of 34 pass attempts for 295 yards, five touchdowns and one interception while taking two carries for 11 yards in Monday's 48-27 rout of the Colts.
EDGE Analysis
Purdy took his game to new heights by throwing five touchdown passes in a game for the first time in his career. The 25-year-old attacked Indianapolis' reeling secondary from the onset, firing three scores to three different receivers on San Francisco's first three possessions Monday. Purdy has been on an absolute heater coming out of the 49ers' bye week, amassing 590 passing yards and eight touchdowns without ever being forced to punt in both starts. The Iowa State Cyclone did lose star TE George Kittle (7-115-1) to an ankle injury in the second half, so Purdy could be missing one of his top weapons against the Bears in Week 17.
Jonathan Taylor RB IND (11) Mon 12/22/25 11:47 PM
Jonathan Taylor
RB IND (11)
Taylor rushed 16 times for 46 yards and a touchdown and brought in all three targets for 33 yards in the Colts' 48-27 loss to the 49ers on Monday night.
EDGE Analysis
Taylor salvaged his fantasy night with a one-yard touchdown run early in the fourth quarter, which narrowed a 34-20 deficit. The star back otherwise was stonewalled on the ground for the majority of the night, although he made some solid contributions as a receiver. Taylor's rushing yardage total was his second lowest of the season, while his average of 2.9 yards per carry was a new low-water mark. He hasn't eclipsed the 100-yard mark on the ground since his memorable 244-yard performance against the Falcons in Berlin in Week 10, and he'll draw another tough matchup at home against the Jaguars in a Week 17 divisional clash Sunday.
Mitch Tinsley WR CIN (10) Mon 12/22/25 11:27 PM
Mitch Tinsley
WR CIN (10)
Tinsley failed to reel in his lone target in Sunday's 45-21 win over the Dolphins.
EDGE Analysis
Tinsley played 22 of the Bengals' 61 offensive snaps Sunday, behind Ja'Marr Chase (53), Tee Higgins (38) and Andrei Iosivas (31). With Higgins returning from a concussion that sidelined him in Week 15, the 26-year-old Tinsley was a complete non-factor in the contest, taking a backseat in Cincinnati's passing attack against a vulnerable Dolphins defense. The Penn State product should not be trusted for fantasy purposes heading into a Week 17 matchup against the Cardinals.
OUTDalton Tucker IND (11) Mon 12/22/25 10:54 PM
OUTDalton Tucker
IND (11)
Tucker (shoulder) is questionable to return to Monday's game against the 49ers, James Boyd of The Athletic reports.
EDGE Analysis
Tucker is being evaluated by medical staff to determine whether he can return to Sunday's game. Josh Sills will likely cover at right guard for as long as Tucker is sidelined.
