OUTT.J. Hockenson
TE MIN (6)
Tue 12/23/25 5:48 PM

Hockenson (shoulder) was listed as a non-participant in Tuesday's walk-through practice.
EDGE Analysis
Hockenson hasn't logged any practice activity this week, so he'll likely need to be listed as at least a limited participant in Wednesday's session to have a shot at playing Thursday against the Lions. If Hockenson is able to play through the shoulder issue, he'll be working with undrafted rookie quarterback Max Brosmer, who has been named the Vikings' Week 17 starter with J.J. McCarthy (hand) ruled out. In Brosmer's lone other start in a Week 13 blowout loss to the Seahawks, Hockenson was one of the few Minnesota skill-position players to deliver a useful fantasy line, as he finished with six catches for 59 yards on six targets.

Aaron Jones
RB MIN (6)
Tue 12/23/25 5:41 PM

The Vikings listed Jones (ankle) as a limited participant in Tuesday's walk-through practice.
EDGE Analysis
Jones has yet to turn in a full practice this week, but so long as he maintains at least limited participation Wednesday, he should be in good shape to play Thursday against the Lions. In this past Sunday's 16-13 win over the Giants, Jones earned a season-high 23 touches and accounted for 93 yards from scrimmage. He was aided by Jordan Mason's early exit due to ankle injury, and with Mason having yet to practice this week and trending toward sitting Thursday, Jones could be in store for another elevated workload against Detroit.

OUTJordan Mason
RB MIN (6)
Tue 12/23/25 5:33 PM

Mason (ankle) was a non-participant in Tuesday's walk-through practice.
EDGE Analysis
With the Vikings estimating Mason as a non-participant on both of their first two Week 17 injury reports, the 26-year-old hasn't been ruled out from playing Thursday against the Lions, but he's being viewed as a "longshot" to suit up, per Jeremy Fowler of ESPN.com. Assuming Mason is formally ruled out for the Week 17 game following the release of Wednesday's injury report, Aaron Jones would be in line to lead the Minnesota backfield Thursday, provided he can move past the ankle injury that rendered him a limited participant in Tuesday's walk-through.

IRJustin Fields
QB NYJ (9)
Tue 12/23/25 5:28 PM

Jets head coach Aaron Glenn said Tuesday that Fields (knee) is set to be placed on injured reserve.
EDGE Analysis
The transaction is likely to be made official Wednesday, when New York will likely add another player to its 53-man roster in a corresponding move. Fields hadn't been available for any of the Jets' last three games, and though the quarterback resumed practicing in a limited fashion last week, the Jets opted to shut him down after his condition hadn't improved as quickly as the team had hoped. The 26-year-old is under contract through next season, but the Jets are unlikely to view him as anything more than a backup option heading into 2026 following an unproductive run as the team's starter over the first 11 weeks of 2025. Over his nine appearances, Fields completed 62.7 percent of his passes for 6.2 yards per attempt and a 7:1 TD:INT to go with 383 yards (5.4 per carry) and four scores on the ground, but he lost three fumbles and took 27 sacks on his 231 dropbacks.

QAireontae Ersery
HOU (6)
Tue 12/23/25 5:25 PM

Ersery underwent surgery to repair his broken hand Tuesday and is without a timetable for return, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.
EDGE Analysis
Ersery has been Houston's starting left tackle since Week 2, so this is a significant loss for a Texans team that is on a hot streak headed into the postseason. Tytus Howard and Trent Brown (knee) are options to take over at left tackle for the Texans while Ersery is idle.

OUTDelarrin Turner-Yell
S DEN (12)
Tue 12/23/25 5:22 PM

Denver placed Turner-Yell (knee) on the practice squad injured list Tuesday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.
EDGE Analysis
Turner-Yell was injured in Sunday's loss to the Jaguars and will be required to miss at least the final two games of the regular season and the first two games of the playoffs. The 26-year-old has appeared in 31 regular-season games for Denver since the start of the 2022 season.

QGeorge Kittle
TE SF (14)
Tue 12/23/25 5:18 PM

Kittle was diagnosed with a low-to-mid-grade ankle sprain following an MRI on Tuesday, Jeremy Fowler of ESPN.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
After he was forced out of Monday's 48-27 win over the Colts with the injury, Kittle said that he believed that he had avoided a high-ankle sprain, and follow-up tests have confirmed that's indeed the case. Though Kittle isn't facing a long-term injury, the star tight end could still be at risk of missing a game Sunday versus the Bears that has important playoff-positioning implications at stake. Before departing late in the third quarter Monday, Kittle still delivered for his fantasy managers, posting seven catches for a season-high 115 yards and a touchdown on eight targets.

OUTJaylon Moore
KC (10)
Tue 12/23/25 5:10 PM

Moore (knee) was a full participant in Tuesday's practice.
EDGE Analysis
Moore missed the Week 16 loss to the Titans on Sunday but appears to be ready to return to the lineup Thursday against Denver. He started each of his previous two games at right tackle.

QMichael Pratt
QB FA
Tue 12/23/25 5:08 PM

Pratt (back) worked out for the Cardinals on Tuesday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston reports.
EDGE Analysis
Pratt was a seventh-round pick in the 2024 Draft by the Packers and spent last summer with the Bucs before being cut from the reserve/PUP list with an injury settlement. Pratt has never appeared in a regular-season NFL contest.

KaVontae Turpin
WR DAL (10)
Tue 12/23/25 5:07 PM

Turpin (shoulder) was limited in Tuesday's practice, Jon Machota of The Athletic reports.
EDGE Analysis
Turpin produced 27 total yards on four touches on offense in Sunday's loss to the Chargers. His biggest impact comes on special teams, where he serves as the Cowboys' return man.
