Gilberry announced last week on his personal Instagram account that he has retired from professional football.
EDGE Analysis
Gilberry elected to call it a career after failing to find work when the Bengals released him at the conclusion of training camp. The defensive end played nine NFL seasons with the Chiefs, Bengals and Lions, accruing 34 sacks and six fumble recoveries in 124 career regular-season contests.

Gilberry was released by the Bengals on Saturday, Josina Anderson of ESPN reports.
EDGE Analysis
Gilberry hasn't shown much production the last couple of seasons, and would have likely been a depth piece if he did manage to crack the roster. The 32-year-old missed four late-season games when dealing with a calf injury last year, but could still provide some value for teams with little depth at defensive end.

Gilberry is at risk of getting cut before the start of the season, the Cincinnati Enquirer reports.
EDGE Analysis
The Bengals loaded up on the defensive line in the draft the last two years, and Gilberry hasn't been all that productive in the pass rush. The team already cut Brandon Thompson (who subsequently signed with the Browns), but another veteran DL could still be on the chopping block.

Gilberry has agreed to re-sign with the Bengals, ESPN's Jenna Laine reports.
EDGE Analysis
Gilberry signed with the Lions last offseason after spending the previous five years in Cincinnati. The Lions placed him on injured reserve in October and released him shortly thereafter, allowing him to rejoin the Bengals for the second half of the year. The 32-year-old may have to compete for a roster spot at this point in his career, as he only has six sacks over the past three seasons.

Gilberry (calf) logged a full practice Friday and is not listed on the Bengals' official injury report.
EDGE Analysis
The Bengals will be getting some depth back on the edge Sunday with Gilberry's expected return from a calf injury. He's missed each of the last three games, so there's a chance that he won't his usual snap count Saturday against the Texans. Carlos Dunlap will likely see most of the playing time at the left defensive end spot.

Gilberry (calf) is inactive Sunday against the Steelers.
EDGE Analysis
Gilberry was doubtful heading into the contest, so it's no surprise to see him on the inactive list. It will be his third straight game on the sideline, as Carlos Dunlap and Micheal Johnson will continue to handle the majority of reps at defensive end.

Gilberry (calf) is considered doubtful for Sunday's game against the Steelers, Geoff Hobson of Bengals.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Gilberry appears to be in line for his third consecutive missed game due to a calf issue, though the Bengals have additional depth at defensive end so his potential absence won't have much of an impact.

Gilberry (calf) is ruled out of Sunday's game against the Browns.
EDGE Analysis
Gilberry didn't take the practice field at all this week and is set to miss his second straight game. He'll look to get back in commission prior to the Bengals' Week 15 matchup with the Steelers.

Gilberry (calf) is ruled out of Sunday's game against the Eagles.
EDGE Analysis
Gilberry seems to have sustained an injury during practice Wednesday. As the last defensive end on the Bengals' depth chart, Gilberry's absence likely won't have an impact on the outcome of the game.

Gilberry (calf) is active for Sunday's tilt with the Bills.
EDGE Analysis
Gilberry was injured in Monday night's loss to the Giants but will suit up for Week 11. The reserve lineman doesn't figure to see a ton of reps to begin with, but could be monitored even more because of the injury.
