The Raiders are expected to place a priority on re-signing free agent SS Tyvon Branch.

Tyvon Branch has moved back to strong safety and Mike Mitchell to the bench following the return of Michael Huff. Didn't last long for Mitchell. Huff returns as the Raiders' "center-field" safety after experiencing a depressed free agent market. Branch maintains the most IDP value as a playmaking strong safety who sees lots of time in the box.

Raiders HC Hue Jackson thinks SS Tyvon Branch could be headed for a breakout season. "He plays as well and as hard as anybody I've ever seen play the game," Jackson said. You could make the argument Branch already broke out in 2010, as he notched 104 tackles, four sacks, a forced fumble and a pick. He should be an excellent IDP option this season.
