Brady completed 31 of 42 passes for 271 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 14-12 loss to the Packers.
EDGE Analysis
Brady saw Tampa Bay's offense struggle for much of Sunday's contest while without his top three wideouts. Still, the 45-year-old nearly led his team back to force overtime. While a one-yard touchdown to Russell Gage with 14 seconds left put the Buccaneers on the brink, a delay of game on their subsequent two-point conversion attempt hurt Brady's comeback chances and contributed toward a narrow defeat. As he now prepares for Week 4's matchup versus Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs, Brady will be eager to get top wideout Mike Evans back from suspension and will hope fellow targets Chris Godwin (hamstring) and Julio Jones (knee) can return as well.

Brady (right finger) practiced fully and doesn't have a designation for Sunday's game against the Packers.
EDGE Analysis
On Monday, Brady said on his "Let's Go!" podcast that he hurt the ring finger on his right throwing hand during the Buccaneers' Week 2 win at New Orleans. At the time, he noted soreness would be the primary side effect, and indeed he was seen shaking that hand numerous times during the portion of Thursday's practice open to the media, per Jenna Laine of ESPN.com. Still, Brady wasn't listed on the team's Week 3 injury report until Friday as a full participant. Brady's status thus isn't in question for Sunday, but he won't have Mike Evans (suspension) and Chris Godwin (hamstring) at his disposal, while running back Leonard Fournette (hamstring) and wide receivers Julio Jones (knee), Russell Gage (hamstring) and Breshad Perriman (knee) all are questionable to play.

Brady, who was a full participant in Thursday's practice after his usual veteran's day off Wednesday, appeared to be bothered at times by an issue with the ring finger on his throwing hand, Jenna Laine of ESPN.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Brady conceded on his "Let's Go!" podcast Monday that he'd hurt the finger against the Saints in Week 2, noting he'd "banged it up pretty good" during the contest but adding he didn't feel it affected him whatsoever during the Buccaneers' 20-10 win. However, four days later, he was spotted shaking his right hand multiple times during the portion of practice open to the media. Nevertheless, Brady is one of the few skill-position players on the team that's yet to sport an injury designation this week, and that's unlikely to change when the final injury report ahead of Sunday's Week 3 home showdown against the Packers is issued sometime Friday afternoon.

Brady completed 18 of 34 passes for 190 yards with one touchdown and no interceptions in the Buccaneers' 20-10 win over the Saints on Sunday. He also netted minus-2 yards on three rushes and lost a fumble.
EDGE Analysis
Brady went into what had already been a proverbial house of horrors for him since joining the Buccaneers -- the Caesars Superdome -- short-handed at receiver with both Chris Godwin (hamstring) and Julio Jones (knee) sidelined. He then lost Mike Evans to an ejection early in the fourth quarter due to his part in a brawl, but the future Hall of Fame signal-caller managed to do his part to get Tampa Bay a tough road win. Brady's 28-yard touchdown pass down the right sideline to Breshad Perriman on a beautifully thrown ball midway through the fourth quarter snapped a 3-3 tie, and Mike Edwards subsequently lent the offense a helping hand with a 68-yard pick-six. Brady will naturally hope to have a healthier receiving corps for the Bucs' home opener next Sunday against Aaron Rodgers and the Packers.

Brady completed 18 of 27 passes for 212 yards with one touchdown and one interception in the Buccaneers' 19-3 win over the Cowboys on Sunday night. He also netted minus-1 yard on two rushes.
EDGE Analysis
It was a very modest line by Brady's typical standards, but the efficient performance was more than enough on a night when the Buccaneers defense mostly dominated a short-handed Cowboys offense. Brady also was working with offseason addition Russell Gage for the first time in a game setting and was welcoming back Chris Godwin (hamstring) in the wideout's first game after a lightning-fast recovery from a late-season ACL tear in 2021. Brady's night started off with a flourish in the form of 24- and 20-yard completions to Godwin and Mike Evans, respectively, and although too many drives ended in field goals, the future Hall of Fame quarterback closed out the scoring with a five-yard touchdown pass to Evans late in the third quarter. Given Brady missed some time due to a personal matter during training camp, there may still have been some rust to knock off Sunday night; he'll look to be even sharper in a tough Week 2 road assignment against the NFC South rival Saints, who have given the 45-year-old signal-caller plenty of trouble since he arrived in Tampa Bay.

Brady will make his 22nd consecutive Week 1 start in Sunday's game against the Cowboys and is heading into what's expected to be his 23rd and final NFL season, sources with knowledge of his thinking tell Ian Rapoport of NFL Network.
EDGE Analysis
Given Brady previously announced his retirement Feb. 1 only to announce his intentions to continue his playing career 40 days later, it's not overly surprising that he's preparing for a likely swan song in 2022. As Rapoport notes, Brady has publicly and privately stated in the past that he intends to play until age 45, and he just celebrated his 45th birthday Aug. 3. Since ending his brief retirement and signing a restructured contract with Tampa Bay, Brady has had a far from normal training camp, as he notably missed 11 days of practice while tending to a personal matter. He rejoined the Bucs on Aug. 22 and looked sharp in his lone preseason action, completing six of eight pass attempts for 44 yards in a game against the Colts five days after his return to camp. Coming off consecutive 40-touchdown campaigns with Tampa Bay and backed by a loaded receiving corps that added Russell Gage (hamstring) and Julio Jones to complement Mike Evans and Chris Godwin (knee), Brady looks like a strong fantasy option in 2022, though not one without some risk. In addition to his age being a concern, Brady no longer has tight end Rob Gronkowski at his disposal, and the Bucs' offensive line suffered major personnel losses with the retirement of standout guard Ali Marpet and the loss of center Ryan Jensen to a season-ending knee injury.

Brady completed six of eight passes for 44 yards with no touchdowns or interceptions in the Buccaneers' 27-10 preseason loss to the Colts on Saturday night.
EDGE Analysis
Brady was in for just one series but got plenty of work during it, including a 20-yard completion to Julio Jones, his first official in-game connection with the veteran receiver. The future Hall of Fame signal-caller managed to help the Buccaneers get down to the Colts' 12-yard line before Ryan Succop capped off the drive with a 30-yard field goal. Following a recent 11-day sabbatical from the team for personal reasons, Brady reportedly put together several strong practices and then got a taste of live action Saturday, so he should be ready to roll for a Week 1 Sunday night showdown against the Cowboys on Sept. 11.

With coach Todd Bowles relaying that the Buccaneers plan to use their healthy players in Saturday's preseason game against the Colts, Brady is in line to start the contest, Rick Stroud of the Tampa Bay Times reports.
EDGE Analysis
Per Stroud, the Bucs are looking to get Brady some game action behind the team's offensive line ahead of Week 1. While it's uncertain how long the veteran QB will be out there Saturday, once Brady exits the game, Blaine Gabbert and Kyle Trask also figure to see signal-caller snaps for Tampa Bay.

Brady threw the ball well during his first practice Monday following an 11-day sabbatical from the Buccaneers, Jenna Laine of ESPN.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Brady jumped right back into drills Monday and apparently looked like he hadn't missed a beat, with veteran tight end Cameron Brate noting the future Hall of Famer was "kind of firing on all cylinders again." Brady's knowledge of the offense is such that a brief time away shouldn't have any tangible effect on his regular-season readiness, and his Monday return notably coincided with Mike Evans' first practice since an Aug. 5 hamstring injury, as well as Chris Godwin's (knee) debut in 11-on-11 drills.

Brady (personal) rejoined the Buccaneers on Monday and is expected to practice, Jenna Laine of ESPN.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Brady was away from the team for about two weeks for personal reasons, with the Bucs approving his absence. It's unclear if he'll play in the team's preseason finale Saturday at Indianapolis, but he'll be out there Week 1 at Dallas. The bigger question right now is which wide receivers he'll have available, as Chris Godwin is working back from a torn ACL while Mike Evans (hamstring) and Russell Gage (leg) are dealing with lesser injuries.
