He'll travel to Buffalo for another AFC East matchup Week 4.

Though the Patriots have moved on from Antonio Brown, Brady -- who has looked sharp out of the gate this season -- still has the likes of Julian Edelman, Josh Gordon, Phillip Dorsett and James White (all capable pass catchers) to throw to. One concern for the veteran QB heading into the weekend, however, is the state of the team's banged-up offensive line.

In a week filled with high-profile QB injuries, Brady finds his name on the Patriots' initial injury report in advance of Sunday's game against the Jets. That said, there's been nothing to suggest that his status for the contest is in any danger. Through his first two games this season, Brady has recorded 605 passing yards to go along with a nifty 5:0 TD:INT ratio and one rushing score. Injuries to the Patriots offensive line are somewhat concerning, but the veteran signal caller gets a nice matchup this weekend, with the injury-riddled Jets considered major Week 3 underdogs.

Brady hit newest teammate Antonio Brown for a 20-yard touchdown late in the first half. He also got into the end zone himself on a one-yard quarterback sneak before adding a 10-yard touchdown to James White to complete the scoring. The veteran quarterback was efficient and spread the ball out with multiple completions to seven different targets, but he didn't need to do much with New England dominating a pathetic Dolphins team throughout.

Brady completed 24 of 36 pass attempts for 341 yards and three touchdowns in Sunday's 33-3 win over the Steelers.

EDGE Analysis

Brady didn't need to shake off any "preseason rust" from minimal usage during the exhibition games that many signal callers appeared to have Week 1. The future Hall of Famer simply got to work and absolutely dissected a Pittsburgh secondary that had no answers for ageless wonder. Brady didn't even have the recently-signed Antonio Brown at his disposal, but he will get to add the polarizing, but undoubtedly talented wideout to the mix in a favorable matchup against the Dolphins next Sunday.

Brady featured for three drives in his first and likely only preseason action. The storied signal-caller found a good connection with wideout Phillip Dorsett during his brief cameo, which culminated with New England scoring a one-yard rushing touchdown on Brady's final snap to cap an eight-plus-minute, 85-yard drive. With his exhibition involvement now probably over, Brady will use the next couple weeks to get fully prepared for his 20th NFL campaign, which kicks off against the Steelers on Sunday night of the opening weekend.

Brady wants to play in Thursday's preseason game against Carolina, but he isn't sure if he coach Bill Belichick will allow it, WEEI's Ryan Hannable reports.

Belichick typically has given his starting quarterback a good chunk of work in the preseason, with Brady attempting at least 24 passes each of the last six years. He'll likely fall shy of that number this August, having already been held out for the first two weeks.
