Simon was claimed by the Cardinals on Wednesday, Kent Somers of AZCentral.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Simon struggled with injuries during his time in Seattle, having played just 11 games across the past two seasons. Assuming he's completely over the knee injury that forced him from practice early last week, Simon now has a chance to rejuvenate his career alongside former LSU teammates Patrick Peterson and Tyrann Mathieu.

Simon was waived by the Seahawks on Tuesday, Field Yates of ESPN.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Simon was inactive for Sunday's Week 1 win over the Dolphins after missing practice time last week with a knee injury, although he was left off the injury report last Friday. Regardless of what happened, the Seahawks have decided to part ways with the 25-year-old, leaving just four cornerbacks on the active roster.

Simon (coach's decision) is inactive for the Seahawks' regular season opener Sunday, Curtis Crabtree of Sports Radio KJR reports.
EDGE Analysis
Simon missed both Wednesday's and Thursday's practices with a knee injury, but was curiously left off the team's injury report Friday. It's unclear if he had suffered a setback since then, but Simon should be considered questionable for Week 2 until further notice.

Simon (knee) was not listed on Friday's injury report.
EDGE Analysis
That is a seemingly quick turnaround in health for Simon, who missed practice the previous two days. The 25-year-old is entering his third season in the league, and figures to add depth in the defensive backfield, specifically behind Richard Sherman.

Simon (knee) missed practice for a second consecutive day on Thursday.
EDGE Analysis
While the severity of Simon's knee issue is unknown, it has been enough to keep him out of practice. His status for Sunday's season opener against the Dolphins is up in the air. He projects to add cornerback depth for the team if he can play.

Simon (knee) did not participate in Wednesday's practice.
EDGE Analysis
The severity or root of the knee injury is currently unknown, but it looks like Simon should be considerable questionable for Week 1. He will serve as a backup cornerback this season in Seattle.

Simon (toe) "hasn't missed anything" this offseason according to HC Pete Carroll and has been operating as the starting right cornerback in the Seahawks' base defense during their offseason program, The Seattle Times reports.
EDGE Analysis
Simon lost the near-majority of the 2015 campaign due to a dislocated toe, but Carroll has since declared Simon healthy and reported that he has taken "all the snaps" opposite Richard Sherman with the Seahawks' first-team defense. Jeremy Lane was expected to be in the mix to start outside, but has reportedly only worked out of nickel and dime packages during the offseason program. Thus, the starting job appears to be Simon's to lose.

Simon (toe) has been placed on injured reserve Saturday, Curtis Crabtree of Sports Radio KJR reports.
EDGE Analysis
Simon dislocated his toe a week before the regular season opener and briefly played in Week 2 before dislocating it again. With the Seahawks hurting at the running back position, Rod Smith was called up from the practice squad to take Simon's place on the roster.

Simon (ankle) is active for Sunday's game in Carolina. With Byron Maxwell (calf) out for a second week in a row, Simon is earning the start at cornerback opposite Richard Sherman, according to Curtis Crabtree of Sports Radio KJR. Simon's size (6-foot-3, 202) should help him contend with the Panthers' sizable receiving corps, but the unknown product has just one solo tackle in his brief career, making him a difficult IDP to trust.

Simon (ankle) is probable for Sunday's game against Carolina. Simon is an athletically talented corner in the big-build mold the Seahawks look for, so he could be a useful addition to the Seattle defense this week.
