A league source tells Profootballtalk.com that Thad Lewis (ribs) is expected to play in Week 9 despite Wednesday's missed practice. PFT allows Lewis may also miss Thursday's session, but he's fully expected to start over Jeff Tuel and Matt Flynn against the 8-0 Chiefs. Coach Doug Marrone has already stated E.J. Manuel (knee) will not be playing this week.

Lewis laid on the turf for close to five minutes before being picked up and taken to the sidelines. He didn't miss a play. Lewis fumbled three times on the day. His touchdown pass went to Stevie Johnson from 13 yards out. The ball was thrown well behind Johnson, but he did a nice job of contorting his body and reeling it in. E.J. Manuel is still a couple weeks away. Lewis will get another start against the Chiefs next week.
