Added context regarding Higgins' status for Sunday's game against the Browns will arrive no later than Friday, but if he ends up out or limited this weekend, Trenton Irwin would be a candidate to see added snaps Week 14 alongside Ja'Marr Chase and Tyler Boyd.

Higgins was held to three catches for 35 yards in Sunday's win over the Chiefs, but two of them were among the biggest in the game. He scored the Bengals' second touchdown of the contest on his first catch and recorded the final catch of the game with a 14-yard reception that converted a third-and-11 in the fourth quarter, leading to two kneel-downs to end the contest.

Higgins officially had only five targets but was targeted on a penalty against the Chiefs and on another occasion was targeted in the end zone only for the Bengals to get called for a penalty away from the ball. Now that Ja'Marr Chase is back, opposing defenses will have to decide where to shift their coverage, meaning there could still be weeks when Higgins goes off.

Higgins had seven catches for 114 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's win over the Titans.

Higgins and Joe Burrow found multiple occasions where Higgins had man-to-man coverage on the outside and exploited it. Both the go-ahead touchdown and a subsequent big play on the game-clinching drive were under those conditions. Higgins likely will get teammate Ja'Marr Chase (hip) back next weekend against the Chiefs, but he's demonstrating that he is a No. 1 receiver and will likely get paid as such this offseason.

Higgins caught nine passes for 148 yards on 13 targets in Sunday's win over the Steelers.
