The Akron Beacon-Journal's Nate Ulrich reports the Browns are not interested in former Cowboys RB Tashard Choice. With both Peyton Hillis and Montario Hardesty in danger of missing Week 9, the Browns are in the market for a running back, but Choice would make little sense considering slow-healing injuries were part of the reason he was cut loose by the Cowboys. The Cleveland Plain Dealer's Mary Kay Cabot reports the Browns may have interest in bringing back free agent Thomas Clayton.

Cowboys waived RB Tashard Choice. A surprising decision on the surface, but Choice's recent health woes were making it harder to overlook his lack of production. His dismal Week 7 performance while fourth-stringer Phillip Tanner went for 34 yards on just six carries was likely the final straw. Over his past 22 games, Choice has averaged just 3.38 yards on 94 carries while contributing nothing in the passing game. Depending on how DeMarco Murray performs against the Eagles, the Cowboys could be looking at a backfield that uses Murray as the feature runner, Felix Jones as the third-down back and Tanner as a short-yardage specialist once Jones is over his shoulder issues.

Tashard Choice (shoulder) was downgraded to a missed practice on Friday. Choice had been limited the past two days, so it looks like he had a setback. Expect DeMarco Murray to start against the Eagles with rookie Phillip Tanner as the No. 2 back. Murray is once again a good bet for 20+ touches in a prime matchup.

Tashard Choice was limited in Cowboys practice for the second straight day Thursday. Choice is beginning to appear very questionable for Week 8, meaning we could see a Cowboys backfield of DeMarco Murray and Phillip Tanner against the Eagles' bottom-10 run defense. Choice needs to turn in a full practice on Friday if he's to be trusted as a RB3/flex in deeper leagues.

Tashard Choice (shoulder) was limited in Cowboys practice Wednesday. Coach Jason Garrett referred to Choice as "iffy" to be available Sunday at Philadelphia. Choice has been so bad that the Cowboys may just go ahead with undrafted rookie Phillip Tanner backing up DeMarco Murray. Choice is borderline droppable in 12-team leagues due to performance and health concerns.

Tashard Choice suffered a partial dislocation of his right shoulder in Sunday's win over the Rams. In other words, his joint popped out of place before quickly popping back in. Bad dislocations that require surgery can sideline players for months, but Choice said he "should" be able to play against the Eagles this week. It's unclear if Choice or Phillip Tanner will be DeMarco Murray's backup.

Tashard Choice revealed that he injured his shoulder in the third quarter of Sunday's win over the Rams. The injury happened on a fumble, Choice's second in as many games. "I messed up, man," he said. "It came out and I lost the ball. I can't get a break." DeMarco Murray should be the Cowboys' feature back going forward, regardless of Choice's health status. Rookie Phillip Tanner may be the new No. 2 back.

Tashard Choice has been named the Cowboys' starting running back for Week 7 against the Rams. It still appears to be a case of Choice making the "start," as Cowboys.com's Josh Ellis expects rookie DeMarco Murray to receive the bigger workload with Felix Jones (ankle) inactive. Choice should see most of his snaps on passing downs, with Murray handling early-down and goal-line work. Murray is whom Jones owners should be getting into their starting lineup. Also inactive for the Cowboys are QB Stephen McGee, K David Buehler, G David Arkin, G Daniel Loper, G Derrick Dockery and DE Jason Hatcher.
