Means (illness) was a full participant at Saturday's practice, Jeff McLane of The Philadelphia Inquirer reports.
EDGE Analysis
There was some concern that Means' game status might be affected by an illness he had been suffering from, but it looks like he will be good to go against the Packers on Monday.

Means has been added to Houston's practice squad, the Houston Chronicle reports.
EDGE Analysis
The Texans project Means as an outside linebacker in their 3-4 scheme. He played 11 games for Tampa Bay in 2012 and 2013 and has six career tackles after being drafted in the fifth round of the 2012 draft. He was most recently with Baltimore, who released him late in September.

Coach Lovie Smith called second-year DE Steven Means his "prototype" defensive end.
Means was the 147th overall pick last year out of Buffalo. Most projected him to play strong-side linebacker at the NFL level. He has decent size (6-foot-3 5/8, 260) and was a disruptive edge rusher in college. Means played just 80 snaps as a rookie, notching five tackles. The Bucs don't seem to be high on short and stout Adrian Clayborn. William Gholston and Means are viewed by some as the favorites to split duties at left end opposite Michael Johnson.

Bucs signed fifth-round DE Steven Means to a four-year contract.
Means didn't generate much pre-draft notice, but the Bucs believe the Buffalo alum offers a lot of upside as a situational pass rusher. He recorded 19.5 sacks and 30.5 career tackles for loss in college. End is a weakness on Tampa's defense, so there's reason to believe Means has a chance to play as a rookie.
