Falcons signed OT Sean Locklear. Sam Baker landed on injured reserve Tuesday, meaning Lamar Holmes is sliding in as a starter. Locklear, who hasn't played since a 2012 ACL tear, steps in as the swing tackle.

Free agent OTs Sean Locklear and Pat McQuistan worked out for the Titans on Tuesday. Locklear has made 92 career starts, but was ineffective for the Giants last season. He'd be a depth signing.

The knee injury that ended free agent RT Sean Locklear's 2012 was a torn ACL. Locklear went down in Week 13. According to the Newark Star-Ledger, the Giants will "wait and see" how Locklear's rehab goes before making a decision on his future with the team. Locklear could be near 100 percent by the time camp rolls around, but won't draw much interest in free agency before then. Locklear's health could be a reason the Giants have yet to cut David Diehl.

Giants placed RT Sean Locklear on injured reserve with a knee injury, ending his season. OT Selvish Capers has been promoted from the practice squad in a corresponding roster move. The Giants have yet to announce the extent of Locklear's injury, but it was obvious to anyone watching on Monday that his season was through. He's likely suffered at least one torn ligament, and will be dicey for training camp next summer. The 31-year-old nine-year veteran will be a free agent in the offseason. He's unlikely to find a new home before the summer. David Diehl will fill-in at right tackle for the Giants.

Coach Tom Coughlin indicated that RT Sean Locklear's knee injury is "serious" and will require surgery. It's no surprise after Locklear's leg was bent the wrong way Monday night. He will likely be placed on injured reserve, ending his season. Veteran David Diehl will return to the starting lineup going forward.

According to the Giants, RT Sean Locklear sustained a "significant knee sprain" during Monday's loss to the Redskins. If Locklear truly avoided a ligament year, he's lucky. The gruesome replays showed his right knee getting bent the wrong way in horrific fashion. The Giants are going to have to roll with declining veteran David Diehl at right tackle going forward.

Giants RT Sean Locklear exited Monday night's game versus the Redskins with a right leg/knee injury. Locklear was injured on a fourth quarter run play and had his leg roll up awkwardly underneath him. It appeared to be a lower leg injury or a blown out knee. Locklear was later carted off the field. David Diehl replaced him at right tackle.

The Giants will start Sean Locklear at right tackle on Monday night against the Redskins. David Diehl was listed as questionable on the injury report with a shoulder injury, but he's still active. Diehl started on the right side the past two weeks, but he's taking a back seat to Locklear, who started at the position from Weeks 2-9. Locklear will see a lot of Ryan Kerrigan.

The Giants will start journeyman Sean Locklear at left tackle in Wednesday night's season opener against the Cowboys. William Beatty's back has continued to give him trouble and he'll be available only to play tight end in jumbo packages. We'd call it a concern for the New York passing game -- particularly facing DeMarcus Ware -- but the Giants did just fine with a below-average left tackle (David Diehl) for most of last season. Locklear outplayed Diehl in camp, and Diehl will start at right tackle.

Giants signed OT Sean Locklear, formerly of the Redskins. Locklear, 31 in May, made four starts in Washington last season, three at left tackle and one on the right side. Pro Football Focus graded him negatively both as a pass and run blocker. He'll have to battle for a roster spot in camp.
