Mundy (neck) is active for Sunday's game against the Packers, Michael C. Wright of ESPN Chicago reports. Despite leaving Monday night's win over the Jets early due to the neck concern, Mundy was given clearance to play after turning in full practices Thursday and Friday. Mundy will make his fourth start of the season at safety Sunday and is steadily picking up momentum as an IDP option, after turning in 16 tackles and in his interception in his first three contests.

Mundy (neck) is probable for Sunday's game against Green Bay. Mundy left last week's game early with the injury, but it hasn't been an issue in practice this week. He had seven tackles in each of his first two games with the Bears before leaving last week's game early.

Mundy (neck) was a full practice participant Thursday, the Bears' official site reports. Prior to suffering a stinger during Monday's victory at the Jets, Mundy tallied two tackles and an interception return for a touchdown. Among the Bears' starting safety tandem, Mundy seems much more likely to take the field Sunday against the Packers, as Chris Conte (shoulder) remains limited in drills. As the week draws to a close, the situation could very well clear up, revealing likely probable status for Mundy.

Mundy (shoulder) was limited in Wednesday's practice. The Bears' starting safeties, Mundy and Chris Conte, are both dealing with shoulder concerns, which resulted in a cap in reps Wednesday. Mundy will likely play Sunday against the Packers, if he's healthy enough for numerous snaps, but his availability should be watched closely as the week continues.

Mundy, who returned an interception 45 yards for a touchdown in the first quarter, suffered a serious stinger during Monday's win over the Jets, ESPN Chicago's Jeff Dickerson reports. Munday was initially deemed questionable to return with a shoulder injury, but the neck stinger could be quite a bit more serious. The Bears also lost Chris Conte to a shoulder injury, leaving the team without either of its starters at safety. Brock Vereen, Danny McCray and Ahmad Dixon are the remaining safeties on the roster.

Mundy sustained a shoulder injury during Monday's game against the Jets and is questionable to return, the Chicago Tribune reports. Mundy left Monday's contest with two tackles on the night. It's still unclear if he'll be able to add onto that total with his current questionable status. During Mundy's absence, Ahmad Dixon is the likely replacement.

Mundy compiled seven tackles in Sunday's win over the 49ers. Mundy has turned in identical stat lines for the first two weeks of the season and is the Bears' early leader in total tackles. Among defensive backs, he's still outside the league's top 20 in that category, however, making him safe to ignore in most IDP leagues for the time being.

Mundy will open the season for the Bears as their starting strong safety, the Chicago Sun-Times reports. Mundy started nine games and appeared as a reserve in the remaining seven regular-season contests for the Steelers last season, accumulating 77 tackles and an interception. It's uncertain if Mundy will be paired with Danny McCray or Chris Conte (concussion) at safety in Week 1, but either way, his lack of playmaking ability might make it difficult for him to attain much relevance as an IDP.

Mundy opened Friday's preseason game against the Eagles as one of two starting safeties for the Bears. Mundy contributed an interception in the exhibition victory, but the race for the two starting safety jobs is still far from decided. The Bears have rotated several options between the first- and second-team defenses throughout practices, though Mundy might have helped strengthen his case for one of the jobs by forcing the turnover Friday.

The "plan" is for Ryan Mundy to be the Bears' starting strong safety. Chicago's current safety duo of Mundy and FS Chris Conte is cause for concern. (Major Wright signed with the Bucs.) Mundy, 29, started ten games for the Giants last season but is best in a third safety role. The Bears at No. 14 overall are a popular destination for safeties Ha Ha Clinto-Dix and Calvin Pryor in mock drafts.
