Patriots promoted S Ross Ventrone from the practice squad. A pretty good indication that SS Pat Chung will be out against the Bills despite his surprising return to practice on Friday. An undrafted free agent out of Villanova last year, Ventrone will be making his NFL debut if he's active on Sunday.

Patriots waived S Ross Ventrone. Undrafted out of Villanova last year, Ventrone was trying to make the Patriots roster as a special teamer. He spent time in Pats camp last season as well. New England signed OL Mark Wetterer to take Ventrone's roster spot.
