Raheem Mostert

Mostert (knee/ankle) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Bills.
EDGE Analysis
Mostert has been a regular on Miami injury reports throughout the season, but it wasn't until Week 17 that the running back missed his first game of the campaign. After sitting out last Sunday's 56-19 loss to the Ravens, Mostert remained a spectator for practices Wednesday and Thursday before taking the field Friday as a limited participant. If Mostert checked out fine in his return to practice, he could have a chance to play Sunday against the Bills, but clarity on his status one way or the other may not arrive until Miami posts its inactive list 90 minutes prior to the game's 8:20 p.m. ET kickoff. Even if Mostert plays, he could be subject to a limited snap count, which may result in dynamic rookie De'Von Achane taking on the larger share of work out of the team's backfield.

Mostert (knee/ankle) returned to practice Friday, Daniel Oyefusi of the Miami Herald reports.
EDGE Analysis
Mostert -- who was inactive for Miami's Week 17 loss to Baltimore -- missed practices Wednesday and Thursday, but the running back's participation in Friday's session suggests that he could be available Sunday against the Bills. The Dolphins' upcoming injury report will be released later Friday and will add further context with regard to Mostert's status for Miami's regular-season finale.

Mostert (knee/ankle) didn't practice Thursday, Cameron Wolfe of NFL Network reports.
EDGE Analysis
Mostert, who sat out this past Sunday's 56-19 loss to the Ravens, has now logged back-to-back DNPs, which sets the stage for what, if anything, he's able to do at Friday's practice to loom large in terms of his Week 18 availability. If Mostert remains sidelined Sunday night against the Bills, De'Von Achane (toe/ribs) would be in line to lead Miami's backfield, with Jeff Wilson and Chris Brooks also in the mix.

Mostert (knee/ankle) wasn't present for the media-access portion of Thursday's practice, Daniel Oyefusi of the Miami Herald reports.
EDGE Analysis
Mostert, who was inactive for this past Sunday's 56-19 loss to the Ravens, also missed Wednesday's practice, so what the running back is able to do Friday will be telling with regard to his status ahead of this weekend's game against the Bills. In his absence versus Baltimore, De'Von Achane paced Miami's backfield, with Jeff Wilson and Chris Brooks mixing in.

Mostert (knee/ankle) was a non-participant at Wednesday's practice, Marcel Louis-Jacques of ESPN.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Mostert gutted through knee and ankle injuries Weeks 11-16, but it finally caught up to him this past Sunday at Baltimore, when the Dolphins made him inactive. After sitting out to begin Week 18 prep, he'll now have two more chances to mix into drills before the team potentially makes a ruling on his status for Sunday's regular-season finale against the Bills with the AFC East title on the line. Rookie De'Von Achane (toe/ribs) was limited Wednesday, so Miami's top two options out of the backfield continue to be banged up.

Mostert (knee/ankle) is inactive for Sunday's game against the Ravens.
EDGE Analysis
Though he's been a fixture on Miami injury reports throughout the 2023 campaign, Mostert will be missing his first game of the season in Week 17 after his pair of lower-body concerns kept him from practicing Wednesday and Thursday and limited his participation Friday. With the NFL's touchdown leader out Sunday, the Dolphins will turn the backfield over to standout rookie De'Von Achane, who could be primed to handle his largest workload of the season. Jeff Wilson should also see an expanded role as Achane's top backup, while rookie Chris Brooks is on hand to provide depth as Miami's No. 3 back.

Mostert (knee/ankle) isn't expected to play Sunday at Baltimore, Tom Pelissero and Ian Rapoport of NFL Network report.
EDGE Analysis
He's been playing through knee and ankle issues since Week 11, and even though the running back managed just one limited practice this week, coach Mike McDaniel told Daniel Oyefusi of the Miami Herald on Friday that Mostert "should be good" to suit up this weekend. If Mostert indeed goes down as inactive about 90 minutes before Sunday's 1:00 p.m. ET kickoff, rookie De'Von Achane likely will be the Dolphins' lead option out of the backfield, with Jeff Wilson and Chris Brooks also on hand for any reps that linger.

Mostert (knee/ankle) is listed as questionable for Sunday's contest at Baltimore, Travis Wingfield of the Dolphins' official site reports.
EDGE Analysis
Mostert has been tending to knee and ankle issues since Week 11 prep, but he's been able to suit up in each of the last six games, a span in which he turned 100 carries into 407 yards and seven touchdowns and hauled in six of eight targets for 24 yards and another score. He's been able to handle double-digit rushes on each occasion, and coach Mike McDaniel said Friday that Mostert "should be good" to play this weekend, per Daniel Oyefusi of the Miami Herald. As a result, Mostert will handle his typical workload Sunday as long as he's not included among the Dolphins' inactives when they're posted approximately 90 minutes before a 1:00 p.m. ET kickoff.

Mostert (ankle/knee) remained sidelined at practice Thursday, Daniel Oyefusi of the Miami Heraldreports.
EDGE Analysis
Mostert, who also didn't participate in Wednesday's session, now has one more chance to practice ahead of Sunday's game against the Ravens. Per Oyefusi, the running back is expected to be available this weekend, but unless Mostert practices fully Friday, there's a decent chance he ends up with a Week 17 injury designation.

Running backs coach Eric Studesville said Thursday he expects Mostert (ankle/knee) to suit up for Sunday's road matchup against the Ravens, Barry Jackson of the Miami Herald reports.
EDGE Analysis
Mostert was sidelined at practice Wednesday due to ankle and knee issues, but as Jackson notes, the veteran back has played through lingering injuries all season and still appeared in all 15 games for Miami. It's worth noting, however, that Mostert played a season-low 19 offensive snaps during last week's win over the Cowboys, with coach Mike McDaniel noting that a decision to sit him after two third-quarter snaps was made due to pain management. It wouldn't be surprising to see Mostert continue to get rest at practice with a key matchup against Baltimore on deck Sunday. De'Von Achane (toe) and Jeff Wilson would be in line for larger workloads if Mostert's reps have to be capped in Week 17.
