McPhee lost weight in the offseason in an attempt to take some pressure off his knees, ESPN's Jeff Dickerson reports.
EDGE Analysis
McPhee spent the first six weeks of the 2016 season on the physically unable to perform list due to a knee injury, and when he returned he appeared to be playing at a heavier weight than when he first arrived in Chicago the year before. It isn't clear if McPhee simply returned to somewhere around his roster weight of 273 pounds or if he was able to get even lighter, but any weight loss in general should mean good things for McPhee in terms of staying healthy and improving upon his 2016 numbers of 16 tackles, four sacks and one forced fumble.

McPhee (shoulder) was on the field for OTAs on Tuesday, Dan Wiederer of the Chicago Tribune reports.
EDGE Analysis
McPhee is working his way back from surgery on his torn left labrum that he underwent at the beginning of the offseason. The linebacker missed seven games last season due knee and shoulder ailments but his presence on the field Tuesday is clearly a reassuring sign for the Bears defense, as they are dealing with plenty of question marks at the position to start OTAs with both Danny Trevathan (knee) and Willie Young (knee) absence from the field.

McPhee (shoulder) could be available to participate in OTAs next month, Dan Wiederer of the Chicago Tribune reports. When the linebacker, who is recovering from surgery on his torn left labrum, was asked if he'll be ready to join the team next month he said, "I don't know. That's up to God."
EDGE Analysis
McPhee's two-year stint in Chicago has been riddled with injuries, limiting the linebacker to participating in 23 of 32 games over the past two seasons. The veteran noted that he feels much better at this point than he did last year, when he was recovering from knee injury. He said, "I feel great. I look more sexy. It's definitely a blessing and I can't wait until the season starts...Obviously, last year wasn't a great year. The year before wasn't one. Now hopefully with me losing weight, staying focused, hopefully we can turn things around."

McPhee is recovering from surgery to repair a torn labrum, Brad Biggs of the Chicago Tribune reports.
EDGE Analysis
After missing just four games over four seasons to start his career with the Ravens, McPhee has played just 23 of 32 games in his two seasons while battling through injuries with the Bears. Not much had been reported about him having a torn labrum before this news broke, but he was ruled out the 2016 season finale with a shoulder injury, so it seems possible that was when the injury occurred. If the 28-year-old can recover before training camp, he'll be counted on to have a significant role, especially in terms of rushing the passer, and his upside makes him a player who could be a sneaky IDP option in deeper leagues.

McPhee (shoulder) did not travel with the team for Sunday's game against Minnesota and he has been ruled out, Jeff Dickerson of ESPN reports.
EDGE Analysis
Sunday will mark McPhee's seventh missed contest of the season due to injury. He battled a knee injury early in the season but had been able to play in every game after being activated off the PUP list after Week 6. With Leonard Floyd (concussion) doubtful for Sunday's tilt, the Bears will be short on pass rushing options against the Vikings.

McPhee (shoulder) is questionable to play Sunday in Minnesota.
EDGE Analysis
While it isn't clear whether McPhee suffered an injury last week versus the Redskins or not, he wasn't able to practice all week and doesn't appear likely to suit up. If he's ultimately ruled out, McPhee will end the 2016 campaign with 16 tackles and four sacks across nine games in his second season in Chicago.

McPhee notched a pair of sacks along with three tackles in Sunday's defeat to the Packers.
EDGE Analysis
After registering sacks in two of the first three games he played the season, this was the first time McPhee was able to sack the quarterback in the five games since. He'll be a low-floor IDP option in Week 16 against Washington.

McPhee (knee) will play in Sunday's game against the Giants.
EDGE Analysis
McPhee has recorded a sack in each of the Bears' last two games despite the knee issue, while he figures to one again serve as Leonard Floyd's backup at outside linebacker.

McPhee (knee) collected a sack and two tackles Sunday against the Buccaneers.
EDGE Analysis
McPhee now has posted a sack in back-to-back games, and he's quickly looking like the player who recorded five sacks in seven games before injuring his knee in 2015. He has the potential to be a high-end IDP option, and is someone who shouldn't remain on many waiver wires.

McPhee (knee) will play on Sunday against the Buccaneers.
EDGE Analysis
McPhee will be able to play despite practicing in limited fashion throughout the week. Sam Acho will provide depth at outside linebacker, and potentially see additional reps if McPhee is to suffer any kind of setback.
