Taylor had seven carries for 34 yards and three receptions for 17 yards in Thursday's exhibition game against the Chiefs.
EDGE Analysis
Taylor worked behind Tyler Goodson in Thursday's contest, but he still finished with just two fewer touches than his counterpart. Goodson -- an undrafted rookie -- has made a strong run for a roster spot, and if he snags one it will almost certainly come at Taylor's expense. However, Taylor has been with Green Bay since 2020, so he has the edge in the experience department.

Taylor is battling Tyler Goodson and Dexter Williams for the third running back spot on the Packers' initial 53-man roster, Mike Spofford of Packers.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Taylor toted eight carries for an unremarkable 27 yards in Green Bay's second preseason matchup versus New Orleans, but his performance in the Packers' upcoming preseason finale at Kansas City could be what ultimately determines his position ahead of Tuesday's 53-man roster deadline. The ability to contribute on special teams will likely be a significant factor in his team's decision after the Pack's abysmal performance in that phase in 2021, and Taylor has more recent experience there than Goodson or Williams.

Taylor carried the ball eight times for 27 yards in Friday's 20-10 preseason win over the Saints.
EDGE Analysis
Taylor got the start with Aaron Jones and AJ Dillon both sitting. He didn't do much with his performance, as he averaged only 3.4 yards per carry and his longest rush went for only five yards. Taylor is in competition with Tyler Goodson to serve as the team's third running back so long as Kylin Hill (knee) remains on the PUP list.

Taylor had three carries for 10 yards in Friday's preseason opener against the 49ers. He was also targeted twice but did not catch a pass.
EDGE Analysis
Taylor played only 19 snaps Friday, and that may have been at least partly because he missed practice time earlier in camp with an injury. He did not have a rough night, but he was also the only player among the four Packers running backs who took the field that did not make a big play. With Kylin Hill (knee) on the PUP list, Taylor is the favorite to open the season as the Packers' third running back, but he is by no means a lock to do so. Tyler Goodson looks like his primary competition at this point.

Taylor (groin) returned to practice Sunday, Matt Schneidman of The Athletic reports.
EDGE Analysis
Taylor missed multiple practices -- including the team's Family Night -- due to a groin injury, but he appears to be on the mend and may return to full practices over the next week. With Kylin Hill (knee) expected to start the 2022 season on the PUP list, the undrafted running back out of Memphis is the favorite to win the backup role behind AJ Dillon and Aaron Jones, though he'll have to prove he's healthy during the Packers' upcoming preseason contests.

Taylor (groin) missed practice Wednesday, Ryan Wood of the Green Bay Press-Gazette reports.
EDGE Analysis
Just as soon as Taylor returned to practice after being activated from the PUP list a week ago, he's again away from practice. There's still competition for Green Bay's third running back spot, but until either Taylor or Kylin Hill return to camp, that competition will be between Tyler Goodson and B.J. Baylor.

Green Bay activated Taylor off the PUP list Wednesday, Wes Hodkiewicz of the Packers' official site reports.
EDGE Analysis
It's still unclear why Taylor was placed on the PUP list to begin with, but his term there lasted less than a week. He'll continue to compete for the Packers' third running back spot, and his toughest competition for that role, Kylin Hill, is still on the PUP list himself.

Taylor (undisclosed) has been placed on the PUP list ahead of training camp, Rob Demovsky of ESPN.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
The same applies to fellow running back Kylin Hill, who is bouncing back from a torn ACL that he suffered last October. Both players can come off the PUP list at any time during training camp, and once they do, the duo will slot in behind Green Bay's top backfield options Aaron Jones and AJ Dillon.

Taylor is expected to be the No. 3 running back behind Aaron Jones and AJ Dillon with Kylin Hill still recovering from ACL surgery, Zach Kruse of USA Today reports.
EDGE Analysis
Hill, a seventh-round pick in 2021, was dynamic during last year's preseason but was ultimately sidelined for his entire rookie season after suffering an ACL injury, which vaulted Taylor into the No. 3 spot on the depth chart. However, Taylor saw touches in just four games, totaling 23 carries for 89 yards and one score. If Hill isn't ready to return by Week 1, Taylor figures to open next season in the same spot he finished 2021.

Taylor finished the 2021 season with 23 carries for 89 yards and a touchdown. He also caught two passes for three yards.
EDGE Analysis
Taylor spent roughly the first half of the season on the Packers' practice squad, but he took over as the team's third running back after Kylin Hill (knee) went down for the season Week 8 and filled that role the rest of the way. With fellow running backs Aaron Jones and AJ Dillon under contract for 2022, Taylor will not be in position to climb the depth chart if he remains with Green Bay. However, Hill may not be ready to play Week 1, so Taylor could open next season in the same spot he finished this one.
