Hines signed with the Chargers on Monday, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
EDGE Analysis
The running back was looking for an opportunity after missing the last two seasons with a torn ACL suffered in a jet-ski accident, and now he'll get one in an LA backfield led by Najee Harris (eye) and Omarion Hampton. The depth chart is pretty open behind those two, and Hines has the added benefit of offering potential as a kick returner, seeing as he recorded 554 kickoff-return yards and two touchdowns during the 2022 regular season. Hines has also caught at least 30 passes in all five of his pro campaigns.

Miller-Hines (knee) believes his knee is finally ready for a return to NFL action, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
EDGE Analysis
Miller-Hines suffered a torn ACL in his left knee in a jet-ski accident following the 2022 campaign, which has forced him to miss each of the last two seasons. The running back played in 16 games between the Colts and Bills in 2022, turning 24 carries into 33 yards while catching 30 of 37 targets for 241 yards and a score. Most notably, he compiled 554 yards and two touchdowns as a punt returner. Miller-Hines will likely get a shot to join a team's special-teams unit again in 2025.

Miller-Hines (knee) was released by the Browns on Tuesday, Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston Reports.
EDGE Analysis
Miller-Hines was expected to be able to return from an ACL tear at some point during the 2024 campaign but that never came to fruition, and he finished the season on injured reserve. He'll likely find a new opportunity in 2025 if he can prove himself healthy.

Hines (knee) will remain sidelined for the rest of the 2024 season, Daniel Oyefusi of ESPN.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Hines had his 21-day practice window expire Wednesday, failing to be added to the active roster before it's conclusion. The running back is still working his way back from a torn ACL that he suffered in July of 2023 and he'll now shift his focus to being ready to go for next season.

Coach Kevin Stefanski said Wednesday that Hines (knee) is out for Week 8 versus Baltimore, Daniel Oyefusi of ESPN.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Hines participated fully in practice ahead of Week 7 but ultimately didn't suit up for that contest either, so it's possible injury alone can't fully explain why he isn't active yet. After the long-awaited return of starter Nick Chubb, the Browns now already have four running backs on their active roster, so even if Hines works his way back into the mix soon, he won't be on the fantasy radar for most formats.

Hines (knee) was not activated from injured reserve ahead of Sunday's game against the Bengals, Scott Petrak of the Elyria Chronicle-Telegram reports.
EDGE Analysis
Hines was a full participant in all three practices this week, but he will remain sidelined while in the final stages of his recovery from a torn ACL he suffered in July of 2023. Because his practice window opened Oct. 2, the Browns will need to activate Hines off injured reserve by Wednesday, otherwise he will remain on IR for the rest of the 2024 season. Even without Hines and Jerome Ford (hamstring) for Sunday's game, the Browns are expecting Nick Chubb (knee) to be active, and he will lead the three-man backfield that includes D'Onta Foreman and Pierre Strong.

Hines (knee) is listed as questionable for Sunday's game against the Bengals.
EDGE Analysis
Hines, who remains on the reserve/non-football injury list, practiced fully this week, but Daniel Oyefusi of ESPN.com relays that coach Kevin Stefanski noted Friday that Hines is unlikely to play this weekend. With Jerome Ford out with a hamstring injury, Nick Chubb (reserve/PUP, knee) is expected to return to action Sunday, joining a Cleveland backfield that also includes D'Onta Foreman (groin) and Pierre Strong.

Head coach Kevin Stefanski told reporters Wednesday that Hines (knee) is doing "very well," Daniel Oyefusi of ESPN.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Hines has yet to play this season after being placed on the Browns' non-football injury list in late August. However, he was designated to return on Oct. 2 and has practiced in a limited fashion since. The veteran running back has until Oct. 23 to be activated to Cleveland's active roster before reverting to the non-football injury list, but Stefanski's comments Wednesday suggest that Hines will likely return for the Browns' Week 7 matchup against the Bengals.

Hines (knee) has been ruled out ahead of Sunday's Week 6 matchup against the Eagles, Daniel Oyefusi of ESPN.com reports.
EDGE Analysis
Hines was designated to return from Cleveland's non-football injury list on Oct. 2 and has been practicing in a limited fashion since. However, it appears the veteran running back is still not ready for in-game action just yet. Expect D'Onta Foreman (ankle) and Pierre Strong (hamstring) to serve as the Browns' top backup running backs behind Jerome Ford in Week 6.

Hines (knee) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against Washington, Chris Easterling of the Akron Beacon Journal reports.
EDGE Analysis
Hines remains on the reserve/NFI list but had his 21-day practice window opened this week. He'll have a couple more weeks to get ready. With Nick Chubb (knee, PUP) still working his way back, the Browns will continue to roll with Jerome Ford and D'Onta Foreman for at least one more week.
