Niles Paul Cut By 49ers rotoballer.com Sat 8/3/19 2:14 AM

The San Francisco 49ers cut tight end Niles Paul on Friday. With stud tight end George Kittle and rookie Kaden Smith in the fold, the Niners opted to waive the veteran and sign free-agent tight end Daniel Helm instead. Paul will likely get another shot with an NFL team but hes miles from fantasy relevance. The eight-year pro hasnt surpassed 100 receiving yards in any season since 2014, when he totaled 507 yards with the Washington Redskins.

49ers Sign Niles Paul rotoballer.com Fri 7/26/19 5:41 PM

The San Francisco 49ers are signing tight end Niles Paul, who played six games for the Jaguars last season. In those games, Paul had 10 catches for 98 yards. His best season came back in 2014 when he had 507 receiving yards with Washington. Paul's best case scenario is to earn the number-three tight end job with the Niners, so fantasy owners can go ahead and ignore this news, as San Francisco has enough other receiving options to render Paul as a non-factor.

Niles Paul Injured Against Dallas rotoballer.com Sun 10/14/18 5:34 PM

Jacksonville Jaguars tight end Niles Paul (knee) left the game early in the first half in Week 6 against the Cowboys and is questionable to return. Paul didn't have a target before leaving the game early in the first half. He was in line for a lot more work with Austin Seferian-Jenkins out, so this is disappointing for those fantasy owners that were using Paul as a desperation streamer. James O'Shaughnessy and David Grinnage are next up at the position for Jacksonville.

Week 6 Tight Ends - Waiver Wire Pickups and Adds rotoballer.com Tue 10/9/18 10:32 AM

Normally, this week is probably not the week that millions of fantasy football players would be scouring their league waiver wires for tight ends. The Detroit Lions and New Orleans Saints are the only two teams on bye, and neither have a tight end fantasy owners will miss much. But as you are probably aware, tight end has been a fantasy nightmare for many owners and fantasy teams this year. Between injuries, ineffective play, and lack of production - the tight end epidemic is real. It's more impo[...]

Niles Paul Sees Plenty Of Work Against Chiefs rotoballer.com Sun 10/7/18 10:54 PM

Jacksonville Jaguars tight end Niles Paul was surprisingly effective against the Chiefs on Sunday, grabbing seven passes for 65 yards. Paul was targeted nine times. With starting tight end Austin Seferian-Jenkins limited due to issues with his core muscles and failing to record a catch, Paul slid into the role of the team's main tight end and produced numbers that Seferian-Jenkins hadn't all season.
