Morrow's impressive tackle total was boosted by his playing a season-high 85 defensive snaps in Week 12. He figures to see another hefty serving of snaps in Week 13 versus the run-dependent 49ers, putting him on the fringe of the IDP radar for that contest.

Morrow recorded six tackles (three solo) in Sunday's 20-14 loss at the Jets.

Morrow struggled somewhat to find his footing early in 2023 after tallying 100-plus tackles for the first time in his career last season, but he's been better over Philadelphia's last three games, averaging 7.3 tackles per game over that span. The Eagles' Week 7 opponent, Miami, has actually been relatively run-heavy this season despite giving a strong impression as a high-flying offense, so Morrow could be busier than some might expect in that contest.

Morrow tallied 11 tackles (10 solo), including three sacks and forced a fumble against the Commanders in a Week 4 overtime victory.

EDGE Analysis

Morrow came into Sunday with just four sacks over 79 contests in his NFL career, yet he nearly equaled that mark in a dominant performance against Washington. The linebacker got to opposing QB Sam Howell on three occasions, including on Washington's final drive of the fourth quarter, though the Commanders were ultimately able to overcome the seven-yard loss to score the game-tying touchdown. Morrow has taken advantage of the opportunity created by a foot injury to Nakobe Dean to emerge as a key starter for the Eagles, playing nearly every defensive snap for the team over the past three weeks and totaling 16 tackles during that span.

The Eagles signed Morrow to their active roster Tuesday.

Morrow's addition to the main roster corresponds with the Eagles placing linebacker Nakobe Dean on injured reserve. Morrow signed with the Eagles in March after posting a career-high 116 tackles in 17 games for the Bears in 2022. He was a surprise cut from the 53-man roster in late August but he opted to return to Philadelphia on their practice squad. Morrow will now have the chance to fill a depth linebacker role behind Christian Elliss, Zach Cunningham and Haason Reddick and could also see some snaps on special teams.
