Schwartz (back) won't play Sunday against the Jets, Sam McDowell of The Kansas City Star reports.
EDGE Analysis
Schwartz will miss a second consecutive game, though the heavily-favored Chiefs should be able to get by without the standout lineman against a Jets team that's still in search of its first win this season. The right tackle will hope to make his return against Carolina in Week 9.

Schwartz was forced out of Sunday's game against the Titans with a knee injury.
EDGE Analysis
The Chiefs' offensive front is in rough shape. It entered the game without Eric Fisher (sports hernia) and Laurent Duvernay-Tardif (ankle), and now it's missing Schwartz and Martinas Rankin (knee). Stefen Wisniewski or Andrew Wylie will likely bump to right tackle in the meantime.

Schwartz (back) participated at Friday's practice, Brooke Pryor of The Kansas City Star reports.
EDGE Analysis
Schwartz has been dealing with back spasms throughout the week, but he's good to go after a couple days off. The 30-year-old received a one-year, $11.26 million extension in June and will once again work as the Chiefs' starting right tackle following his first-team All-Pro campaign.

Schwartz (back) is absent from Wednesday's practice, BJ Kissel of the Chiefs' official site reports.
EDGE Analysis
Schwartz is managing back spasms and is reportedly considered day-to-day. It doesn't appear that the Chiefs are concerned about an extended absence for Schwartz, but if he were to miss any time due to injury it would certainly impede Kansas City's offense as a whole. The 30-year-old offensive tackle signed a one-year, $11.26 million extension in June.

Schwartz is considered day-to-day with back spasms, but the situation isn't considered to be a concern, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
EDGE Analysis
Schwartz was forced to leave practice early Monday. It obviously bodes well that the team isn't concerned by the 30-year-old's situation, as his absence would impact the Kansas City offense as a whole to some degree. Schwartz was graded as Pro Football Focus' fourth-best tackle overall in 2018 and was one of only three tackles to receive top-10 grades in both pass and run blocking. The Chiefs signed Schwartz to a one-year, $11.26 million extension in June to lock him up through the 2021 season.

He also graded out as Pro Football Focus' fourth-ranked tackle overall in 2018 and was one of only three tackles to receive top-10 grades in both pass and run blocking. Schwartz is now under contract with Kansas City through 2021. His continued presence will be good news for Patrick Mahomes, Damien Williams and the rest of the Chiefs offense.
