Evans (ankle) was a non-participant at Wednesday's practice.
EDGE Analysis
Evans was noticeably hindered by his right ankle sprain in last Thursday's loss to the Bears, but he still played 85 percent of the offensive snaps on his way to five catches (on nine targets) for 41 yards and one touchdown. He also didn't practice in advance of that game, so he doesn't necessarily have to do so this week either to be available for Sunday's game against the Packers. Elsewhere in the receiving corps, both Chris Godwin (hamstring) and Scotty Miller (hip/groin) were limited Wednesday, while Justin Watson (chest) was a full participant. Aside from Evans, the Bucs' wideout group seems to be getting healthier.

Evans (ankle) brought in five of nine targets for 41 yards and a touchdown in the Buccaneers' 20-19 loss to the Bears on Thursday night.
EDGE Analysis
Evans was able to prove worthy of active status in pregame warmups, and he proceeded to have a solid impact on the game by ringing up the Buccaneers' only touchdown of the night. The Pro Bowl receiver now leads the NFL with six touchdown receptions, and he may have recorded his seventh had Tom Brady been able to properly place a deep ball on a fourth-quarter play where Evans had broken free down the left sideline. The sixth-year wideout will now have some extra days to heal up before a Week 6 home showdown versus the Packers on Sunday, Oct. 18.

Evans (ankle) is listed as active Thursday at Chicago.
EDGE Analysis
Despite being unable to practice this week, Evans tested out his injured ankle during a pregame workout, cutting and making moves out of the break, per Rick Stroud of the Tampa Bay Times. After getting the all clear to play, Evans will take aim at a Bears defense that hasn't allowed a touchdown to wide receivers this season.

Evans (ankle) is expected to play Thursday at Chicago, Rick Stroud of the Tampa Bay Times reports
EDGE Analysis
While the Buccaneers will be without wide receivers Chris Godwin (hamstring) and Justin Watson (chest), they intend to have the services of Evans and Scotty Miller (hip/groin). The decision appears to hinge on Evans' pregame workout, which included cutting and "explosive" moves out of the break, per Stroud. Evans' ankles were taped up, too, so it seems to indicate he'll be out there Thursday.

Evans (ankle) will need to successfully complete pre-game workouts in order to be active Thursday night against Chicago, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
EDGE Analysis
Evans was the team's most targeted wide receiver Week 4 against the Chargers with Chris Godwin (hamstring) sidelined, but he emerged from the game with an ankle injury that forced him out of practice for the entire week. Even though he's operating on a short week, there's still optimism that Evans will take the field, though it absolutely warrants confirmation roughly 90 minutes prior to the 8:20 p.m. EST kickoff. Evans could be in for another target-heavy week if everything checks out in warmups, as Godwin has again been ruled out, while Scotty Miller (hip/groin) is considered questionable for the contest (though he's expected to play). A tough matchup awaits, however, as Evans and co. will be facing a Chicago team that hasn't given up a touchdown to an opposing wide receiver all year.

Evans (ankle) is listed as questionable for Thursday's contest at Chicago, Greg Auman of The Athletic reports.
EDGE Analysis
Evans was unable to practice this week, but he'll have a chance to suit up Thursday, unlike Chris Godwin (hamstring) and Justin Watson (chest). Assuming Evans is active, he'll be the primary pass-catching option for Tom Brady, while Scotty Miller (hip/groin) -- who also is questionable -- is the top option to fill in for Godwin in the slot.

Evans (ankle) didn't practice Tuesday, Greg Auman of The Athletic reports.
EDGE Analysis
The absence from Evans marks his second in as many days due to a right ankle sprain. Despite the injury, he racked up seven catches (on eight targets) for 122 yards and one touchdown this past Sunday versus the Chargers. He'll have one more opportunity to practice before the Bucs tab Evans with a designation for Thursday's game at Chicago.

Evans (ankle) wasn't present at the portion of Tuesday's walk-through open to the media, Greg Auman of The Athletic reports.
EDGE Analysis
If he indeed doesn't take the field Tuesday, it'll mark Evans' second DNP of Week 5 prep. He toughed out a sprained right ankle this past Sunday against the Chargers, reeling in seven of eight passes for 122 yards and one touchdown. Ultimately, he doesn't necessarily have to practice in order to play Thursday at Chicago, but he still technically has two chances to do so before the Bucs release their final injury of the week Wednesday.

Evans (ankle) was listed as a non-participant in Monday's walk-through practice, Rick Stroud of the Tampa Bay Times reports.
EDGE Analysis
A sprained right ankle that the wideout suffered in Sunday's win over the Chargers is the culprit. Now, it remains to be seen if he's able to recover in time to suit up Thursday night against Chicago. With Monday being used as a recovery day for many of the Bucs' banged-up players, what Evans is able to do on the field Tuesday should shed more light on his Week 5 status.

Coach Bruce Arians said Monday that Evans is set to receive medical evaluation after suffering a right ankle sprain during Sunday's win over the Chargers, Eduardo A. Encina of the Tampa Bay Times reports.
EDGE Analysis
Arians said Evans is "as tough as they come," and that the star wideout was on "a leg and a half" while playing through his injury Sunday. Evans managed to surpass the 100-yard mark and score despite being injured early, so there's reason to be optimistic that he could continue to play through the issue without missing time, but Thursday's upcoming contest against the Bears leaves only a short window for rest. Greg Auman of The Athletic reports that the Buccaneers should disclose more medical information Tuesday.
