Evans secured eight of 12 targets for 147 yards and a touchdown in the Buccaneers' 31-23 divisional-round loss to the Lions on Sunday.
EDGE Analysis
After a relatively quiet performance in the wild-card win over the Eagles, Evans reassumed his usual role as the clear-cut top target for Baker Mayfield, finishing with team-high figures across the board for the Buccaneers' pass catchers on the day. The highly decorated veteran delivered a clutch 16-yard touchdown grab with 4:37 remaining to bring Tampa Bay within one possession, and he was also the intended target on the subsequent two-point conversion attempt that fell short on a play on which there was contact between Evans and the defensive back. A disappointing conclusion to the season doesn't take away from the fact Evans looked as effective as ever in 2023, finishing with a 79-1,255-13 line across 17 regular-season games. With his reception and yardage totals his highest since 2018, Evans, a pending free agent, figures to command a lucrative new contract from either the Bucs or on the open market this offseason.

Evans secured three of seven targets for 48 yards in the Buccaneers' 32-9 wild-card win over the Eagles on Monday night.
EDGE Analysis
Evans finished third in receptions and fourth in receiving yards despite garnering the second-most targets on the night for Tampa Bay, an unfamiliar level of inefficiency for the multi-time Pro Bowler. However, Evans finished strong with 19- and eight-yard grabs on Tampa Bay's final scoring drive, and he also was partly responsible for his modest night by dropping what looked like a perfectly thrown deep ball from Baker Mayfield just past the midway point of the first quarter. Evans should be heavily involved again when the Buccaneers face the Lions on the road in a divisional-round matchup Sunday afternoon, a game in which Tampa Bay's air attack figures to play an integral part.

Evans brought in three of eight targets for 22 yards in the Buccaneers' 9-0 win over the Panthers on Sunday.
EDGE Analysis
Evans logged a pair of receptions for 16 yards on the Buccaneers' first two plays from scrimmage but was then almost shut out the rest of the way. The multi-time Pro Bowler's yardage total was his second lowest of the campaign, and he finished the season just one catch short of reaching the 80-catch mark for the first time since 2018. Nevertheless, Evans could have an opportunity to see a boost in production against the struggling Eagles secondary in a home wild-card matchup next weekend.

Evans brought in three of four targets for 70 yards in the Buccaneers' 23-13 loss to the Saints on Sunday.
EDGE Analysis
Evans didn't have to deal with the pesky coverage of Marshon Lattimore (ankle), but he was still largely contained by the Saints and gained half his yardage on one reception. The perennial Pro Bowler has recorded at least 70 receiving yards in four of the last six games, however, and while Sunday's target total was his second lowest of the season, he should see more passes come his way in a Week 18 road finale against the Panthers that gives the Buccaneers a chance to clinch the NFC South.

Evans brought in seven of eight targets for 86 yards and two touchdowns in the Buccaneers' 30-12 win over the Jaguars on Sunday.
EDGE Analysis
Evans was back in the customary position of leading the Bucs in receptions and receiving yards while also paying multiple visits to the end zone for the second time this season. The veteran wideout has eight scores overall in his last seven contests, making him a premium fantasy option for a Week 17 home divisional clash with the Saints.

Sun 12/17/23 5:21 PM

Evans brought in four of six targets for 57 yards and a touchdown in the Buccaneers' 34-20 win over the Packers on Sunday.
EDGE Analysis
Evans played a rare second fiddle to Chris Godwin for the second straight game, although in contrast to Week 14, the gulf between the two players' numbers was expansive. Nevertheless, Evans was able to round out his fantasy day nicely with his 11th touchdown of the campaign, which came on a 19-yard grab early in the second quarter. Evans has followed up a 7-162-1 line in Week 13 against the Panthers with just five receptions for 65 yards over his next two games, but he'll look to bounce back against the Jaguars' inconsistent secondary in a Week 16 home matchup on Christmas Eve.

Evans brought in one of six targets for eight yards in the Buccaneers' 29-25 win over the Falcons on Sunday.
EDGE Analysis
Evans' final line was extremely out of the norm for the talented receiver, who's consistently served as Baker Mayfield's top target all season. The perennial Pro Bowler hadn't posted fewer than three catches or 39 yards in any game prior to Sunday this season, and he was coming off an explosive 7-162-1 line against the Panthers in Week 13. Evans may have an uphill battle bouncing back in notable fashion in a Week 15 road matchup against a talented Packers secondary.

Mon 12/4/23 1:49 AM

Evans caught seven of 12 targets for 162 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 21-18 win over the Panthers.
EDGE Analysis
The future Hall of Famer produced the longest TD of his career in the third quarter, taking a Baker Mayfield pass 75 yards to the house. With the big performance, Evans has reached 1,000 receiving yards for the 10th straight season, something only Jerry Rice had done in NFL history. Evans has also scored double-digit touchdowns for the fifth time, and the 30-year-old wideout isn't slowing down -- his 9.8 yards per target is his best mark since 2019. With the Bucs still in the mix for the NFC South crown, Evans will try to make an impact again in Week 14 versus a Falcons secondary he posted a 6-82-1 line against in Week 7.

Sun 11/26/23 4:45 PM

Evans brought in six of nine targets for 70 yards and two touchdowns in the Buccaneers' 27-20 loss to the Colts on Sunday.
EDGE Analysis
Evans was in the familiar position of leading the Buccaneers in receptions, receiving yards and targets, and he rounded out his afternoon with touchdown grabs of one and 23 yards. The big-bodied receiver now has four touchdowns in his last three contests, and he's been at Sunday's yardage tally or higher in three of the last four contests overall. Evans, who's now just 150 yards away from his 10th straight 1,000-yard campaign, next takes aim at the division-rival Panthers in a Week 13 home matchup.

Sun 11/19/23 10:31 PM

Evans caught five of 12 targets for 43 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 27-14 loss to the 49ers.
EDGE Analysis
The veteran receiver was on the other end of a one-yard TD toss from Baker Mayfield right before halftime, but it was otherwise a tough day for Evans despite the fact that he saw a season high in targets. He's been his usual productive self in 2023, scoring seven touchdowns in 10 games including four in the last five contests, and Evans is on pace for his fifth career season with double-digit scores as well as his best receiving yards total since 2018.
