Michael Jenkins caught just two passes for 30 yards against the Panthers in Week 8. We warned that his career game last week was a fluke and a tough matchup was looming against Chris Gamble. Jenkins saw just two targets on the afternoon, placing just sixth among Vikings pass catchers. While Jenkins is on pace for 58 receptions and 724 yards, the majority of that production came in two games. He can dropped heading into the Week 9 bye.

Michael Jenkins caught three passes for a career-high 111 yards and one touchdown against the Packers in Week 7. It took Jenkins eight years, but he finally notches his first 100-yard performance. He out-jumped Charles Woodson for a 24-yard touchdown and would have added a second score but his elbow touched down at the 1-foot line on a 71-yard reception to open the game. While Jenkins was Chris Ponder's favorite target this week, he's not going to be a viable WR3 option going forward.

Michael Jenkins caught four balls for 45 yards in the Vikings' 39-10 loss to the Bears in Week 6. Averaging four catches per game for 36.8 yards per game, you can do better than Molasses Michael Jenkins. He might have the worst separation skills of any receiver in the NFL.

Michael Jenkins caught just one pass for a one-yard touchdown in the Vikings' Week 4 loss to Kansas City. Jenkins got in front of Chiefs CB Brandon Carr for the fourth-quarter score, but was a non-factor otherwise. Essentially just a big body out there, Molasses Mike is averaging nine yards per catch through four games. While Jenkins does have a pair of scores, he won't be a fantasy option against Arizona in Week 5.

Michael Jenkins led the Vikings with nine catches and 88 yards against the Lions in Week 3. Jenkins is no threat to break a big play, cut he can catch the ball. He was targeted 11 times versus just five for Percy Harvin and four for Bernard Berrian, oddly taking on a bigger role than Adrian Peterson while playing with a second-half lead. We're betting the receptions are yards will stand as season highs.

Michael Jenkins caught three passes for 29 yards in Week 2. Jenkins doesn't have any big-play ability and struggles to beat man coverage, which hurts his chances of becoming any kind of fantasy factor in a really bad passing attack. Leave him on the waiver wire for Week 3 against Detroit.

Vikings signed WR Michael Jenkins to a three-year contract. The Vikings were searching high and low for someone to line up across the field from Percy Harvin, but appear to have set their sights on the "low" end of things. A blocking wideout who has seen his receptions decrease each of the past two seasons, Jenkins isn't likely to be in for any sort of a revival season in Minnesota. He could end up third on the depth chart behind Bernard Berrian.

Falcons released WR Michael Jenkins. As expected. The writing was on the wall for the blocking receiver when the Falcons gave up the farm to draft Julio Jones in the first round. There's no way they were going to keep a No. 3 or 4 wideout at a $3.5 million base salary. Jones will start opposite Roddy White, with Harry Douglas coming into the slot on three-wide sets.

ESPN's Pat Yasinskas believes Michael Jenkins is a candidate for release. With the salary cap expected to come in around $120 million, the Falcons aren't going to have much room to operate. Jenkins has been replaced by rookie Julio Jones and is scheduled to count $4.1 million against the cap. The blocking receiver won't attract any interest on the trade market.
