The 49ers are expected to approach Michael Crabtree about a contract extension this offseason. Crabtree is owed $3.5 million entering the final year of his rookie contract. The 49ers had to be pleased with his 2013 recovery from Achilles' surgery, as Crabtree returned late in the season and made an impact. He's 26 years old. Re-signing Crabtree could be much cheaper now as opposed to next winter.

Michael Crabtree was held to four catches for 52 yards in San Francisco's NFC Championship Game loss to the Seahawks. Crabtree was targeted eight times, the last of which resulted in a game-sealing pick by LB Malcolm Smith. The play was set up by suffocating single coverage from Richard Sherman, who swatted the ball away with an extremely athletic move. In general, Crabtree's return from a torn Achilles' tendon went smoothly, as he caught 34 passes for 487 yards and a touchdown in eight games. Although he never seemed to fully find his footing, Crabtree moved remarkably well for someone so recently removed from a major injury. With nine more months to move toward 100 percent, Crabtree should be all the way back to WR1 status in 2014, the final year of his rookie contract.

Michael Crabtree is listed on the 49ers' Championship week injury report with a wrist issue, but is practicing in full. Crabtree took a beating in the 49ers' win over the Panthers, injuring his wrist on a first-quarter hit from CB Captain Munnerlyn. The ailment appeared to be an issue, but Crabtree never checked out. He'll be ready to roll against the Seahawks.

Michael Crabtree was held to 26 yards on three catches in the 49ers' Divisional Round win over the Panthers. Crabtree appeared hampered by a first-quarter hit to the left wrist from Panthers slot corner Captain Munnerlyn. While Anquan Boldin racked up catches between the numbers, Carolina kept Crabtree quiet aside from a 20-yard reception on San Francisco's final first-half drive. The Niners will undoubtedly need more impact from Crabtree in the NFC Championship game against the Seahawks. In Crabtree's last three meetings with Seattle, he's been held to stat lines of 4-40, 4-65, and 4-31. He's played the Seahawks seven times in his career and has never scored a touchdown.

Michael Crabtree caught eight balls for 125 yards in the 49ers' Wild Card win over the Packers. Colin Kaepernick hit Crabtree four times for 70 yards on San Francisco's first drive, capitalizing on Sam Shields' (knee) absence. Crabtree saw two first-quarter end-zone targets, but Davon House broke up both, arguably getting away with twin pass-interference penalties. Crabtree did get the better of House on a third-quarter completion for 22. Despite his spring Achilles' injury, Crabtree has looked as creative and elusive after the catch as ever. He worked the middle of the field beautifully Sunday, getting open virtually at will against Green Bay's zone looks. Reemerging as Kaepernick's go-to guy, Crabtree will be a force to be reckoned with at Carolina in Week 19.

Michael Crabtree (wrist, ankle) is listed as probable for Week 17. Crabtree practiced fully all week and was never in danger of missing Sunday's game. He's Rotoworld's No. 24 wideout for Week 17.

Cardinals coach Bruce Arians says he does "not see the same guy" when watching Michael Crabtree on 2013 game tape. Crabtree, of course, is coming off Achilles' surgery. Arians did concede Crabtree is "getting really close" after a five-catch, 102-yard Monday night game against Atlanta. "You can tell he doesn't look as comfortable as he did when he was healthy," added Patrick Peterson. "Obviously, that's going to come with time. But he can still catch the ball and still run good routes."

Michael Crabtree caught five passes for 102 yards in the 49ers' Week 16 win over the Falcons. Crabtree and Anquan Boldin tied for the team lead with seven targets apiece. King Crab did the bulk of his damage in the third quarter, catching four passes for 99 yards. He looked as healthy as he has since returning from his torn Achilles' four weeks ago. Crabtree's biggest gain was a 47-yard catch-and-run where he beat over-matched slot CB Robert McClain. The play set up an eventual ten-yard touchdown for Boldin. If Crabtree continues to get even healthier, the 49ers are going to be a dangerous playoff team. They'll wrap up the regular season next week in Arizona.

Michael Crabtree (ankle, wrist) is listed as probable for Week 16. Crabtree was a full participant in practice all week and hasn't missed any games since returning from his Achilles' injury. He's a low-end WR2 for Monday night's matchup with the Falcons.

Michael Crabtree caught five balls for 45 yards and a touchdown in the 49ers' Week 15 win over the Bucs. Crabtree's first score of the 2013 season came from four yards out in the first quarter, giving San Francisco a lead it would not relinquish. This was largely a trial week for Crabtree owners, for fear of him facing off with Darrelle Revis. He's going to be trending in WR2 direction in Week 16 against Atlanta.
