Michael Bush rushed 10 times for 16 yards in Chicago's 51-20 win over the Titans in Week 9. With Chicago up 28-2 after one quarter, Bush had 45 minutes of garbage time to work with, but found no running room against a Titans defense Matt Forte was able to carve up. After carrying the ball just twice in the first quarter, Bush found himself on the sideline for the final 10 minutes of the game, as third-stringer Armando Allen took the rock 10 times for 32 yards. Bush is a pure handcuff, and not worth a roster spot in 10-12 team leagues.

Michael Bush played just five snaps in the Bears' Week 8 win over the Panthers. There is no committee in Chicago. Bush has been relegated to a strict backup role as he's seen a total of 16 touches in the last three weeks combined. He's simply a must-own handcuff for Matt Forte owners.

Michael Bush rushed for 36 yards on six carries in Week 7 versus Detroit. Matt Forte has returned to his feature-back role now that he is fully recovered from a Week 2 high ankle sprain, so Bush will continue to see occasional work while Forte rests and some goal-line action. Bush is a pure handcuff at this point and isn't a weekly fantasy option unless desperation takes over.

Michael Bush said he's content with his backup role. With Matt Forte nearly 100 percent in Week 5, Bush saw just six touches while the starter got 24. "He's the man, basically, and I'm good with it," Bush said. "I'm of the mind-set, whenever it's my turn, I'm going to be ready." The ex-Raider is just a handcuff and goal-line vulture right now.

Michael Bush rushed for just 29 yards on 10 carries in Week 4 against the Cowboys. Bush added a catch for eight yards. The running back is battling a shoulder injury and managed a long run of just five yards. He'll continue to be the team's short-yardage back even as Matt Forte works his way back to full health from a high ankle sprain. Bush is on pace for a 216/720/12 stat line. He shouldn't come anywhere near those 216 carries, but the touchdown number is very plausible. It's a good bet that Bush finds the endzone in Week 5 against the Jaguars.

The Chicago Tribune's Vaughn McClure "heard" Michael Bush (shoulder) is "really toughing it out with a shoulder injury that might be significant." McClure cautions to "keep an eye on" Bush on Monday Night Football. Bush insisted he was "fine" last week, and the Bears went as far as to keep him off the injury report, but it doesn't sound like he's anywhere close to 100 percent. It's just another reason you shouldn't hesitate to start Matt Forte (ankle) if you own both players.

Michael Bush insisted Thursday that his shoulder is "fine" and won't prevent him from playing in Week 4. Bush acknowledges that he banged his shoulder, which kept out of the game in the quarter last week. He revealed, however, that he practiced "all day" Wednesday. The Bears didn't have a practice report for Wednesday because they have the Monday night game this week. "Nothing's wrong," Bush emphasized. "I'm good." Matt Forte's (ankle) status remains up in the air for Week 4. If Forte sits, Bush is a good bet for 15+ touches at Dallas. Don't bother picking up Kahlil Bell from the waiver wire.

According to the Chicago Tribune, "word is" Michael Bush has a shoulder injury. Bush was sidelined for a majority of the fourth quarter in Sunday's win. He refused comment on the Tribune's report, which is often tantamount to an admission of injury. Playing in the Monday night game, the Bears don't return to practice until Thursday. Consider Bush questionable for the time being. If neither Bush nor Matt Forte (ankle) can go against the Cowboys, it would mean a huge workload for Kahlil Bell on Monday Night Football.

Coach Lovie Smith denied that Michael Bush sustained an injury is the Bears' Week 3 win over the Rams. Bush sat out for most of the fourth quarter, allowing Kahlil Bell to ice the game. The Bears also worked out new Redskin Ryan Grant on Tuesday. "We have a lot of guys that got a little banged up as I said from the physical play of the game," Smith said. "We were playing Kahlil before that. Mike took some good shots. He came out one play on a hard hit but it was that type of game." Bush doesn't appear to be hurt, but it's worth monitoring practice reports this week.
